INTRODUCTION
Change is regarded as an inseparable part of business. It is performed with an intent to
manage the several situation which raise into particular industry or whole corporate market area.
Moreover, this is the procedures that is accountable for causing activities and operations in order
to become assorted in context to what it was at past and in current time (Abdul Razzak, 2015). It
may have both positive and negative affects upon the ways an organisation provides its services.
As per the scenario the undertaken organisation for this report is Sports Direct which is a leading
British retail group that facilitates services across the world. It also have several sports brands
and trades. This report covers comparison among two organisation in relation to impact of
change, internal and external drivers of change. Moreover, modification with its measures for
minimization of negative impact are described. Apart from this, application of several leadership
approaches for dealing with change are also discussed in this report.
TASK 1
P1 Compare different organisational examples where there has been an impact of change on an
organisation’s strategy and operations.
Change is identified as vital aspects into entities which is accountable for assistance of
maximisation into implementation and effectiveness for effective work flow (Bleich, 2014). But
this is crucial for company to assure that modification are implemented in positive way in
relation to trends that pertains into market area. It implies that modification done into all entities
which can be distinguish from one another but have affects upon its operations.
Overview of case study:
Sports Direct is a well known sport brand within United Kingdom which acquired the
fashion company such as Jack Wills. It is a fashion brand with an intent of developing brand
identity after undertaking its financial situation through adapting acquisition and value adding
strategy. Also, they concentrate upon expenditure minimisation like rents and others for
operating its operations in effective way (Carter, 2015). Also, they purchased the House of
Fraser as they are going through the million of losses per week. Moreover, it have already
updated its department stores as well as information technology through Sports Direct system. In
addition to this, they are also combined the Head Office of House of Fraser with Ashley’s luxury
chain Flannels London HQ
