a) Explain the communication process. Answer in 150-200 words.
The communication is the basis of the existence and the survival of the humans and an
organization too. Communication is the process of establishing and sharing the ideas, the views,
the facts, information and the feelings. It is a way of reaching to the people with a common
understanding. It is the key to the directing of the management function. Communication has
been referred to as the process which involves the three elements such as the sender, the message
and the receiver. The sender is also called the communicator who generates the messages and
conveys to the receiver. The sender is the source where the communication starts. Message is the
idea, the information and the feeling which is generated by the communicator with the purpose to
be conveyed further. The receiver is the person who confirms to the sender about the receipt of
the message and ensures that the communication process is complete and successful.
b) What are the different methods to communicate effectively? Answer in 400-500 words.
Communication can be considered as the exchange of the ideas along with the information
through either the verbal communication or the non-verbal communication. In the recent years,
the business have identified different methods of communication. Such methods can be used
with the internal as well as with the external audiences. The most common methods of
communication in the business sector are the traditional business meetings, video conferencing
and the social media. However, there are several effective communication methods which can
help the organizations to determine the vital decisions with the team. The different effective
communication methods are as follows-

The verbal communication- The verbal communication involves the application of words during
the delivery of the intended message. The verbal communication can occur over the phone, in the
group setting or individually. The medium of the message in the verbal communication is oral.
The written and the oral type of communication can be referred to as the verbal communication.
Storytelling is also a type of verbal communication which is extremely effective. The storytelling
can serve a vital organizational function. The strength and frequency of the storytelling method
has a close relation with the organizational communication. The stories can help in the
reinforcement of the organizational culture. The crucial conversation is a skilled way of verbal
communication. It is different from the daily interaction method and requires more in-depth
planning and reflection.
The written communication- The written communication is another effective way which cannot
be ignored in the workplace. It is present everywhere and consist of the traditional paper, the
letters, the pen documents, emails, text chats, reports, the electronic documents and others. The
symbolic language are parts of the daily business operations. Hence, there are some methods
used for the communication and are solely indispensable for any of the formal business
communication along with the issue of legal instructions. The written methods of
communication include the business proposals, the handbooks, brochures, contract and others.
The effectiveness of the written communication depends on the style, grammar, vocabulary and
clarity too. Some of the written communication tools are email and the social media messages.
The social media messages are used for the purpose of communication among the different
departments, divisions and the employees. On the other hand, the email as the communication
method is extremely common and highly essential tool for sharing data. It is one of the most
cost- effective way of communication.

The oral communication- This is a type of verbal communication which is possible only through
the use of word. There are different types of informal communication such as the rumour mill,
grapevine and the lectures, conference as formal communication which are considered to be the
types of oral communication. The effectiveness of the oral communication depends on the speed,
volume, voice, pitch, clarity, modulation and the body language too.
The face-to-face communication - The face to face communications are the most preferred
method of communication instead of the fact that it is not always reliable. The tolls like video
conferencing has made the face to face communication possible in the large organizations. The
practical meetings are used in almost all the organization for the discussion.
