INTRODUCTION
Leading business companies in recent time is difficult task as it requires effective and
appropriate leadership styles with positive attitude. The current study is based on Starbuck
Company managing and leading business in Washington. This study is divided into two parts
one is reflection and second one is related to Leadership style of Kevin Johnson in context of
Starbucks.
PART 1
1) Systematic comprehension of leadership organizations and theories beneficial for aspiring
leaders
A
There are two fundamental questions leaders need to ask themselves, First “Are you here
to provide or be served?” This question gets to heart of what inspires person as a leader. Second
one is “Do I Spend enough time with my team members?” (Salacuse, 2017).
B
Humility and confidence are the two key features of effective leadership that helps leader
while leading team of many people in workplace (Gerbaudo, 2017).

Leadership theory is discipline that elements on finding out what makes effective and
successful leaders surpass in what they do (Curtis, 2018). In simple terms, leadership style is one
of the several examples covered with leadership theory. It especially focuses on behavior and
traits of leaders.

Democratic and transactional leader are the two different leadership styles that are
suitable and appropriate for VUCA business environment. Democratic promoted participation of
whole team; they consult their employees and take their opinions as well into account while
making decisions.

Aspiring leaders need an in-depth comprehend of range of leadership styles because it
helps them to take effective decision according to the situations in workplace and allow create
effective working environment around area where number of people are working together
(Rosenbach, 2018).
2) Why in an ability to examine contribution that individuals, stakeholders and leader make in
executing and creating mission & vision of an company important for aspiring leaders?
A
Organization mission is defined as purpose for which company exists and works for.
The companies’ organizational mission reflects such info as what kind of items and services it
produces who their target market and what essential values it holds. Furthermore, it can be said
that vision statement of firm describes their desired future position within specific market or
sector.

By understanding the business strategies, its importance and performing hard towards
it can be considered as the main contribution that workers usually make in executing mission &
vision of a company.

Leaders guide their workers how to complete task in timely manner and communicate
with them about strategic plans to achieve set aims. It consider as leaders contribution in
implementing mission & vision.
