Introduction
 Learning can be understood as the process of acquiring new knowledge,
attitude, understanding, behavior, skills, preferences and values.
 It is an ongoing process which encourages in terms of acquisition of
knowledge, skills or competencies for the purpose of grabbing future
opportunities.
 In present times, learning becomes very easier because a person can get
any kind of knowledge at their fingerprints.

Definition Of Coaching
 Coaching defines a kind of development where an experienced individual is
known as coach who helps a learner or student or client for the purpose of
attaining a specific personal or professional objective by providing guidance
and training.
 This is a form of informal relationship between two individuals in which one
has more experience and knowledge than the other person while offer guidance
and advice to the latter students.

Critical evaluation of coaching models
 Coaching model refers a kind of method or process which has been used to convert an individual
from where they are now to wear they want to be in their future. There are multiple types of coaching
models such as CLEAR, OSKAR, GROW.
 All those models indulge a framework for productive coaching which enables managers to exploit the
appropriate skills into right manner.
 GROW coaching model define the assumption that coach is not an expert in terms of learner
situation.
 It signifies that coach must act as a facilitator which supports the coachee to select appropriate
options and not offers the direction of advice.

 GROW model is the acronym of goal, current reality,
options, together with, will. It is introduced by many
business coaches that are Alan Fine, Graham Alexander and
Sir John Whitmore.
 This model can be exploited by following few steps which
comprise establishment of objectives and goals should be in
SMART form that is specific, measureable, attainable,
realistic and time bound.

Coaching Self-assessment Tool
 A self-assessment refers a tool, method, activity or test which can support a person in terms of
acquiring knowledge or information for the purpose of self-evaluation.
 Individuals often make these materials with the help of psychological or sociological research on an
individual’s personality or social habits.
 It also refers as an evolution of owns’ performance which is a process of collecting or gathering
knowledge about one’s talent, skills or competencies.
 The quality of performance or abilities of an individual is reviewed with an intent to ascertain the
areas where they might require to enhance on.
 This is a type of tool which offers clarity, better direction, support as well as expert advice which
could support for a long term period and ensure the success and continuous growth of the person.

Conclusion
• From this presentation it has been concluded that learning and
development possesses a very significant role in an individual life.
• This is important for both personal and professional perspective.
Coaching self-assessment tool is essential in terms of additional
development and growth of the person.
• It is also identified that there are specific areas of development where
practice requires to be done into result oriented way.
