INTRODUCTIONIn the current scenario, the term corporate social responsibility has gained the weight age fromthe past two decades. It has gained much more importance when the term corporate socialresponsibility has been included in the provisions of the corporation’s act 2001 and everycompany is striving to achieve the objectives relating to the social responsibility andenvironmental performance. It is necessary to achieve the objectives otherwise the companywould not be able to exist in the market. In the management subject, the environment and socialissues are referred to as the Planet and People. The companies across the globe has included thesame in remuneration policy of the company made for the executives and the key managerialpersonnel and through this report at first the indicators which measures the environmentalperformance has been detailed and discussed. Secondly, the indicators for the performance inrelation to the social issues have been discussed. At the end the study has been ended up with theappropriate conclusion and recommendation. 2
