Introduction
The education and training department has given the introduction of strategy of literacy and
numeracy for supporting the works of the teachers in the classrooms and in the schools for
improving the literacy and the numeracy. The strategy was devised in such a way that it involves
the numeracy experts, different teachers, principals, the stakeholders and other key bodies. A
strong and efficient foundation of literacy and knowledge is very essential for each and every
child and young persons (Leu et al., 2017). The foundation involves engaging all the children
and young people in education, it helps the children to reach their potentials and also help the
people to participate completely in the communities.
Discussion
Oral language development (singing a song)
Outline- Read the book where the song
is written and then sing in the group of
the children and also show actions
Rationale - It is really not necessary to
teach very small children, but it is very
necessary for the parents or the educators
of the children to know how they can
help to make the children in developing
the language and skills of literacy.
Children learn to talk when the elders
talk with them and help the children to
communicate with then by talking.

Specific concepts- The children develop
the skills of literacy when the children
are given the chances to play with
different toys or involved in different.
One important source of teaching of oral
languages is chatting with the child
properly and noticing about what things
are the child has interest (Bekker et al.,
2015). Learning outcomes- The children
must develop knowledge and self-
confidence, the must develop and show
interests for learning like curiosity,
cooperation, commitment and
enthusiasm. The children must transfer
what they have learned from one
contexts to another contexts. The
children must be able to communicate
with others both by verbal
communication and by non-verbal
communication.
Learning outcomes- To make sure that
the children are responding verbally and
also non verbally to what they are
watching, hearing, touching and feeling
after reading the story book.
To make sure that the children are
singing and chanting rhymes.

Preparation and the teaching strategies
1. An Ipad can be kept which can play songs.
2. The children must be gathered in the playground area and they can take their sit.
3. The children must read the book where the song is written.
4. Then they are allowed to sing the song along with they are allowed to act
according to the song.
5. According to the researches done till now, it has been found that the more the
parents are talking with the child, more is the development of vocabularies within
them.
6. The children who are communicated much more in the house by their parents and
other peoples, can develop more vocabularies within them.
7. The procedure that the parents should follow is they should talk with their child
all the times, while travelling in the cars, while playing at the play grounds and also
during the time of the birth.
8. The parents must know about what thing the child is interested.
9. The rationale that lies behind this is the parents must know exactly in which thing
the child has interests and must give the child the chance to explore further on that
field only (Leu et al., 2017).
Literacy development skills: The teacher should involve music of different kinds
