Peer Work in Rural and Remote Communities and Mental Health Services-
As per the views of Fay Jackson, it can be stated that the Peer Workers are the most
underutilized and valuable resource which are available to the rural and remote mental health
services and communities. Therefore, it can be said that the best care of these workers is required
to be taken so that they are able to ensure that they are able to contribute to the best of their
abilities towards providing their services to the society which will help a lot in creating a better
society to work (Archer-Kuhn and et.al., 2020).
Thus it is quite important that the right connection is maintained with the peers because
this will be quite helpful in ensuring that the work can be done in a proper manner in the rural
and remote communities because this will help in maintaining a better connection with the
people living there. Thus, in this way it can be said that for the Peer Workers it is absolutely
crucial that the upliftment in the society can be brought by working in these areas and by
interacting with these people which will be quite helpful in ensuring the development of the
people.
Rural and Remote Communities-
As per the Department of Health, Australia is a large country with a relatively smaller
population and therefore it is quite important that the challenges related with rural and remote
communities are handled in a proper manner. For this it is quite crucial that the appropriate
training is provided to the different types of social workers so that they are able to concentrate on
ensuring that they are able to effectively and efficiently handle the wide range of issues which
the people in these communities face. In this way, the people will be able to ensure that they can
deal with these issues in the right manner so that these issues can be solved (Gatenio Gabel and
Mapp, 2020).
Thus, in this manner it can be said that for the Australian social workers it is quite crucial
that they are able to pay the required level of attention towards the condition of these
communities so that the actions can be taken appropriately for empowering them.
Support of Australia Post for 10,800 jobs in rural and remote areas-
As per Consultany.com.au, the Economic Inclusivity in the remote rural areas has
emerged as a big challenge. This is so because these communities have to be involved so that
they can ensure that they are economically empowered which will help them a lot to create a
place for themselves in the society. Thus, for this purpose the Australia Post has supported the
creation of 10,800 jobs in the rural and remote areas (Harms and et.al., 2020).
