Introduction
This report reflects the adamantine study on the key factors of logistic and supply chain
management. Logistic activities could be defined as value chain activities of organization that
take place within the boundaries of organization. Organization needs to establish proper level of
coordination between logistic and supply chain management. In this report, XYZ Company has
been taken into consideration for better handling of supply chain management and logistic work.
In the starting of this report, fundamentals of what involved in logistic and supply chain
management has been discussed. After that, a clear supply chain process such as management of
inventories, value chain activities and sustainable practice in supply chain management has been
discussed. In the end of this report, impact of use of cyber computing system and enterprises
resources planning on the supply chain management has been discussed in determined approach

Logistic and supply chain management (Inventory management and
supply chain management
With the increasing ramification of economic changes, there are several sustainable
practices and solutions which are used by organization to perform its business activities with a
view to achieve certain goals and objectives. It is evaluated that if after using PESTLE analysis,
it is considered that suppliers power is strong in the market then company needs to arrange list of
at least 14 suppliers who could supply raw material and services to organization. XYZ Company
invites the tenders from the different suppliers who could provide raw material to its value chain
activities (Kurbel, 2016). Throughout the time, economic order quantity of organization is
determined and below this level orders will be placed by organization through installed
enterprise resources planning. The list of suppliers of raw material will be done by organization
by offering tender method in the market. In addition to this, carriage inward expenses will be
borne by the suppliers and will deliver goods and services to XYZ Company at the time when
the stocks and raw material reach the minimum order quantity (Wang, et al. 2016).
Inventory management and strategic planning
In addition to this, all the communication and information will be shared by vendors
through the given separate login ID password. Other works such as placing orders, evaluating the
inventories in organization and identifying the supply of particular goods and services will be set
through the enterprises resources planning. In addition to this, cyber computing system of XYZ
Company will also be used to detect the stock requirement and smooth functioning of internal
control system. Surveillance will be done by the line manger whether the associated cost and

implemented functions have proper level of nexus with each and every logistic performance
(Kurbel, 2016).
Supply chain management in globalized world
It is evaluated that integration of various business activities in very important for the
success of supply chain. All the business activities such as production, supply, warehouse,
marketing, distribution activities and transportation activities should be interlinked with each
other (Fernie and Sparks, 2014). However, company has installed cyber computing system to
establish proper flow of information between employees to employee, employees to top
management and employees to vendors. The globalized supply chain management of
organization will establish vertical and horizontal integration in determined approach. However,
automation in these activities could be done by installation of cyber computing enterprises
resources planning in effective manner (Monczka, et al. 2015).
Sustainable practice in supply chain management
It is considered that company needs to establish proper level of efficiency in its business
functioning. The sustainability of supply chain management is related to issues affecting logistic
and supply chain networks in terms of environmental risk, waste costs. Company could install
effective supply chain management by using proper level of integrated environmentally sound
choice into supply chain management. It could be done by taking into account the internal
control system and enterprises resources planning. This practice will help organization to
establish automation in value chain activities and integrate the proper level of business practice

Impact of information technology on supply chain management
It is evaluated that all the logistic work and information is set through proper level of
cyber computing system and implemented enterprises resources planning. It is evaluated that if
company could make changes in its value chain activities by using cyber computing enterprises
resources planning to increase the overall productivity and decrease the by products from the
supply chain management (Monczka et al. 2015).

After evaluating various primary and secondary data form the various sources, it is
considered that logistic is related to value chain activities of organization that take place within
the boundaries of organization and supply chain activities is related to suppliers, manufacture,
wholesaler and retailers functioning of organization (Rushton, Croucher, and Baker, 2014). If
company could implement effective logistic and supply chain activities then it could increase the
overall productivity and decrease the byproducts of organization in easy and determined
approach. Furthermore, a clear level of nexus between all these activities and effective
communication among all employees are the key pillar of the success of implemented logistic
and supply chain management (Fernie and Sparks, 2014).

It has determined that strategic alliance with several different organizations will increase
the effectiveness of organization’s working and productivity. Supply chain management of
organization focus on increasing the effectiveness of functioning of suppliers, manufacture,
wholesaler and retailers. Now in the end, it could be inferred that Each and every organization
should increase the effectiveness of supply chain management by establishing proper level of
coordination and nexus between all these activities.
