Executive Summary
The following report considers the supply chain management planning for a business dealing
in fashion products. The four departments such as inventory, operation, financial and sales &
marketing are present in strategic management. This report has used qualitative and
quantitative data. Company is using the re-ordering level and the EQO for measuring the
inventory level. The excess of inventory will be diminished from the business and the
demand planning will also decrease. On time delivery will be also improved with the
coordination of the supply chain strategies. The implementation of will reduce the inventory
level, costs and other major difficulties to the supply chain logistics of the business.

Logistics and supply chain management are an important part of the business because it
controls, implements, plans and runs the flow effectively (Sukati et al. 2012). This will be
assistive to meet the requirement of the customers. The following report will outline a
supportive supply chain strategy for this business. This report will analyse the qualitative and
quantitative information related to this company.
2.0. Commentary by Functional Area
The company is operating in the fashion stationary products; this business has four
departments such as ‘Finance & Administration department’, ‘Sales dept & Marketing
department’, ‘Operations department’ and the ‘Inventory department’. It has been anticipated
by the general manager that the business lacks a proper supply chain management strategy. It
is also interpreted that the company is having an excess amount of inventory value.
As per the views of Myerson, (2012) the logistics management is increasing in the
competitive market and this is very important to effectively increase the performance of the
business. Generally, logistics and management involve different steps for achieving a
competitive advantage in the global market. The logistics, financial and corporate goals will
be achieved by the help of the SCM strategy.
Currently, the competitors are offering quality products at a competitive pricing but the
business is not doing that much of efforts in order to overcome this situation. Logistics
department has a very important role in the business (Christopher, 2016). Currently, the four
departments such as inventory, operation, financial and sales & marketing are actively
included in the existing strategy.
