LOGISTICS2EXECUTIVE SUMMARYThe logistics are defined as the movement and accommodation of the freight. The movement of freight is accepted on a collective network of transport as the movement of people and freight battle for the space in NSW. And the government also provided the physical network in order to access it. As there is a connection between logistics and the government. The scale is dreadful of the task of transport management. 68 billion ton kilometers of the freight is transported annually in NSW. And the products value is more than $200 billion. Further, the problems in the logistics network of the Qube holding will be discussed, as it is the Australia’s largest provider of logistics and services of cargo. And the solutions will be given in order to solve the problems. And the role of NSW government will also be given in solving the problems of Qube holding with the logistics network. It has been observed that in 2011 the contribution of freight and logistics is around $59 billion of gross state product of NSW.INTRODUCTIONQube holding is the Australia’s largest provider of logistics and wharf cartage services. The network is driven by cutting-edge technology. The company delivers the best in the international logistics solutions in Autralia. The global assets of P &O Steam Navigation Company were takenfrom DP world in 2006. In 2007, Kaplan funds management acquired the various operations like automotive and general stevedoring, logistics, marine transport, etc. from DP world and came up with two new businesses P&O Automotive and General Stevedoring and P&O Trans Australia and DP world became a shareholder in both the businesses. In 2009, the name of the company

LOGISTICS3was changed to POAGS. The shipping companies and investors consisted the $AUD 200 millionASX listed the managed scheme of investment named as KFM diversified infrastructure and logistics fund. And in 2011 the name was changed to Qube logistics and finally in March 2012, POAGS changed to Qube ports and the Qube logistic started representing the broad Qube group of the companies. Qube holding is the division of logistics which has located facilities in the capital city ports and provides transport of road and rail container, services of quarantine, intermodal terminals and warehouses for the movement of freight (qube.com.au 2016). Qube holding faces some problem in the logistics network in NSW which are discussed further in the report.PROBLEMS WITH THE LOGISTICS NETWORKThere are some problems with the network of logistics Qube Holdings in NSW which are as follows (Gilmour 2013):LACK OF IDENTIFICATION OF INEFFICIENCIES IN THE NETWORK OF LOGISTICSIn the network of logistics of Qube holding, there is a problem of identification of inefficiency. As it creates a problem in the movement of freight and it affects the economy of a country and the gross state product. Reports are not maintained in an appropriate manner and because of this it becomes difficult to analyze that where the actual problem lies which causes inefficiency. This badly impacts the existing logistics network. It reduces the flow of cross-border freight to a greatextent. The indicators of performance are not identified easily (Abareshi et al; 2013).
