INTRODUCTION In every business digitalisation have become one of the most essential concept in order to reach to a large number of mass at the workplace. So, this report is basically analysing the key issues that are being faced by the LSST college of London so that new online teaching services can be brought. Business environment is occupied with lots of obstacles and there are areas which needs to be defeated in order to achieve the organisational goals and objectives(Hu and Kee, 2022). Some of the areas are technology, competition, knowledge, skills. This particular report is going to deal with the problems that London School Of Science and Technology is facing and consequence of internal and external factors. MAIN BODY TASK Client requirements By using the online technology, the London School Of Science and Technology is facing issues in order to enter the new markets. The strategy can be made in changing areas and activities through digitalisation(Billett, 2021). As online teaching has become one of crucial area to make the student learndue to the high market competition and COVID 19 so, that they can reach to the wider platforms. To get the better competitive advantage in the market, convenient platforms are provided through online technology. As more emphasise is given on the valuable areas through internal and external factors which college is looking for the students. By using the online technology LSST provide many benefits to the students through which they can get ease in COVID 19 situation. In order to secure the future and growth of the students, college is facing many issue in order to make appropriate strategies. The keys area in which the problem are arising that needs more focus includes competitive surroundings, technological advantage and market condition. So, to achieve the objective it is crucial to know the exact issues that is being faced which can be known by evaluating the internal and external environments. Target audience The demand and requirements should be analysed in order to target the audience which is quit essential to get success. Target market plays an important role for the college to increase the large customer base which leads building good brand image. So, to know the target market, STP model can be very useful which are discussed below: 1
Segmentation:Forthe effective business strategy, segmentation is one of the essential element for the growth and improvement(Zhou and et. al., 2022). The market can be segmented into different divisions such as age, gender, income, place etc. in context to LSST, it have the students who are above 18 years for the higher education degree. Scholar students are targeted here and also from the different parts of the world. Targeting:Here the students who are loyal towards the college are targeted and are given more priority. In order to have impressive client base for solving the difficulty, there is no need for LSST to target the UK and Indian market. Their main aim will be to target the students who are already passed out from college to engage in online teaching. Positioning:As per this element, the college mainly focus on the setting the brand image in front of the students and parents(He and et. al., 2021). They basically focus on influencing the target market so that they can get more admission which lead students to be part of their online learning platforms. But the main issue the college if facing is to promote the brand at a large platforms. PESTEL analysis PESTEL analysis is a framework to analysethe macro environment that is used by marketers in order to achieve the organisational objectives and goals(King and Boxall, 2019). It helps in making strategic decision to run the organisation in the long run. In context of LSST college, PESTEL analysis are discussed below: Political factor: This factor includes trade rules, government rules and regulation, tax rates. As LSST operates in the UK which has a stable government. So there is no frequent changes in the policy of government which helps them to achieve the target very effectively. But due to the change in taxation policies in the educational institutions can impact the goals of providing online teaching. Economic factor:This includes interest rate, inflation rate, employment rates etc. through which the profitability of the company are affected(Zabelina, Deyneka and Tsiring, 2019). These factor should be kept in mind while operating the business as LSST add outstanding contribution in education sector. Productivity and profitability should not be hampered through this factor. They should give focus on key elements which is required during the planning phase. Technologicalfactor:Thisfactorincludeschangeintechnology,disruptionin technology(Huang, 2020). It very necessary to be very innovative by adopting new technology. As college provide students with online learning app so they need to keep themselves updated with the new technology. Through this the college can attract large numbers if customers by adopting different promotion platforms. Environmental factor:This includes climate change, disposal of wastage, use of resources, waste disposal. In order to run the business successful these factors should be taken into the consideration. In order to make the best use of resources the college need to give emphasise on environmental factors to grow and develop. As the college is providing the online platforms for the students that don't have that much impact on environment. Legal factor:This factor include consumer law, labour law, health and safety law, security, wage equality, gender equality(Amalia, 2022).In order to run the business successfully, the management should follow all the legal rules. As by following Equality law, there is no discrimination in the educational institution. The students have equal rights and opportunities that helps in maintaining good environment which motivates the students to be more productive. Top three issues Through the identification of the external factors, target market, and other areas, there are manychallengesandissuefacedbytheLSST.Duetotheincreasingcompetitionand digitalisation there are many obstacles which college is facing in order to achieve the targeted goals. Due to this the college are facing issue to reach to the large number of audience. There are top three issue which are discussed below: Bad promotional strategy:It has been analysed that LSST don't have appropriate promotional strategy through which they can promote their services. The don't have proper promotional strategy that can help them to build the proper brand image. As 3
LSST are not much active in the social media platforms through which they can attract large number of students through the wider location. As nowadays students are more active on the social media platforms so they can make students aware about the teaching services and other learning activities through the social media. Through less promotional activities the respective colleges is unable to attract the large students which leads to the less growth. Technological advancement issue:Technology plays an important role in the growth and development of the education institution as the teaching and learning environment keeps on changing(Mozila, 2019). As due to the increasing in technology, LSST may have great impact of it. As while adopting the new technology lot of investment is required and experts to operate it. So, LSST may face issue in achieving the required goals and objectives. In order to avoid such problem they can adopt different software and models to make the changes in an appropriate manner. Inappropriate communication:Communication plays an important role growth and development of any organisation(Hansen, Carnett and Tullis, 2018). In teaching field, communication gap can affect the profitability of the LSST. As it is one of the most crucial factors in order to develop the good relation among the teachers and students. In order to achieve the targets and goals LSST have to make the strategy such as providing trainings to solve the problem. There should be proper communication platforms that helps them avoid the barriers and work productively. CONCLUSION From the above report it can be concluded that there are many factors that make business environment very innovative and dynamic. Different factors such as politics, social, culture, technologycanaffecttheproperfunctioningofthebusinessthathaveimpactonthe organisationalgoalsandprofitability.Themainissuearisesthroughtheinappropriate promotional strategy, failure in adopting technology advancement, poor communication. This particular report basically shows that by adopting and planning strategy awareness can be created about the services provided by the respective company in order to be productive.
