Others are non-Hispanic, African Americans, and Asian population. Age= the median age of Dallas is 32.6 and majority of population falls in the age group of25 and34 years and, second position is held by the population of age between 45 and 54years[CITATION Dat18 \l 1033 ]. Education = Dallas is considered as a center of education for the South Central region of the USand, it consist of number of colleges, schools, and universities. It comprises of six NobelLaureates from Dallas-Fort Worth. Employment= the unemployment rate in the year 2017 is 3.5%[CITATION USB18 \l 1033 ].2.Based on the demographics of Dallas, it has been revealed that maximum population is ofadults i.e. from the age group of 25 to 35 years and racial discrimination is prevalent in theregion. Since 2011, minority lawmakers and civil rights groups sued the state regarding itselectoral maps. It was stated that Texas legislators limit the voting power of African-Americans and Latinos. The federal court in Washington stopped the state fromimplementing those maps and ordered new maps to be drawn. It has been continuouslyargued that the minorities should receive fair representation while voting in elections but justbecause, blacks and Latinos vote for Democratic candidates, reshaping the electoral districtscould lead to enhanced number of Democrats in office[CITATION Jam17 \l 1033 ].Therefore, taking into consideration, the fair representation of all the races during voting, Iwould choose the platform of Texas House of Representatives. 3.3. Yes, Dallas is involved in gerrymandering[CITATION Chr172 \l 1033 ].
