Style guide
Two types of important business documents are employment agreement and meeting
minutes. The Marriott hotel needs these documents for maintaining professional image of
their business.
Employment agreement
Formal style of writing is used in this kind of business document. Bullet points and
headings are included to describe all important aspects of employment. For example, terms
and conditions of employment as per company policy will be written with clear words within
this business document. MS Word will be used to make this document. Macros are being
used to help this company to redevelop this document within minimum time in future
(Valenzuela & Benau, 2018). The Marriott hotel sends this document while appointing new
employees into their business (Marriott.com, 2018).
Meeting minutes
Meeting minute template will contain a clear and simple style. Three segments will be
there. Firstly, the introducing part will include location, date, time and attendees of the
meeting (Ito & Nishita, 2016). After that agenda item will be included. Lastly, action items
along with owners, deadlines, and status will be included. MS Word will be used to develop
meeting minutes and macro is being performed. Management of the Marriott will use this
document for conveying decisions made in meetings to their staff.
