The Bully Free Roadshow was conducted on 8th September 2017 with the purpose to
create awareness among the people and the children to reduce the evil practice of bullying and
harassment (Childrensociety.org.sg., 2017). The event was organized at Nex mall in association
with the children, youth and the families. The program had a clear mission and vision that is
related to reduce the number of bullying practices among Singaporean youths. In this regards, the
invitation to the families and guardians were also important for the organization to facilitate a
better practice of bully free environment in Singapore. The choice of the venue was strategically
advantageous for the organization as Nex mall is highly famous in Singapore and characterized
with gathering of enough people in the Mall. As a result of that it was effective for Singapore
Children’s Societyto set up an effective roadshow for both the parents and their children.
The event carefully chose the activities that were clearly linked with the anti-bullying
measures. There were exhibitions and fun filled entertainment for both the children and their
parents. However, those events were not getting diverted from its main agenda of developing a
popular awareness against bullying. The use of comic characters was also appealing and
attractive for theyoung generation. The character was based on the comic book of Singapore
Children’s Society‘Heather’s Adventure’ that was specifically developed for the children
(Childrensociety.org.sg., 2017). As in the official site of the organization, it was stated that the
aim of the event was to educate children in becoming an active bystander in a safe manner. In
addition to this, there was also storyboard where the families could share messages through
meaningful conversation.
