Introduction
The assignment is completely focused on the security management program and security policies
of the company East Marine Suppliers. This report is designed to explain the importance of the
security management program for EMS from the perspective of a consultant. The report will
describe the purpose of the program and need of the program with their business process it also
includes the benefits of the security management program, which provides knowledge about the
advantage can be achieved by EMS. Every policy needs to develop with the time so the company
also changes its security policy to make them better. In the report methods which are used to
develop management program are explained and the outcomes after implementing the security
management program in the organization. In the analysis, the legal activity which is required for
imposing the program in the organization is also described.
Purpose of Security Management Program
EMS have to store the data or information which is highly confidential and sensitive; in any case,
if this data gets accessed by any illegal person then the company might have to face loss and
other issues. The purpose of the security management program is to provide EMS a framework
which conducts the security function. By the help of this program, the security methodology for
all the designations will be defined within the organization. It will provide inputs which are
already defined for the transformation of distinct security functions. The inputs which are
defined included with the leadership, governance, direction of strategies, ethics, accountability,
culture, and resilience. There are many functions of security in transformations which are
categorized as risk management, continuity in business, personnel physical, and security of
