Human resource development refers to theuse of career development and training programmes to improve the effectiveness of the firm(Chelladurai and Kerwin, 2018). The Report is based on Hotel Phoenicia. It is a 5 star hotelsituated in Floriana, Malta. It belongs to hospitality industry. The hotel was founded in year1947. The target market of the organization is Middle East, Europe and Latin America. It offersvarious benefits to the customers like astonishing views and the rooms of hotel retain originalfeatures including tiled floors etc. The Report will outline the method used by firm for managinghuman resource, recruitment and selection methods used by hotel in relation to strategic humanresource initiatives. Further, the Report will also describe approach to human resourcedevelopment, classical theories of motivation and proposing hybrid theory which is acombination of different theories that will have practical value for the company.
