1. What Documentation Management Is?
Documentation management refers to the control and coordination of the flow, i.e.,
the retrieval, printing, processing, distribution and routing of the paper based and electronic
documents in efficient and secure way (Servantie, Laluque and Andre 2017).
2. What Records Management Is?
Records management refers to systematically administering the documented
information and the records for entirety of the organisation’s life cycle and it includes
creation, maintenances and disposal of the records (Stark 2015).
3. How the two impact an Organisation?
Documentation management helps an organisation in ensuring that all the paper based
and electronic documents are accessible to the authorised personnel as and whenever
required. Whereas, Records management is an organisational function that is devoted to the
information management in a company throughout its life cycle, right from the time of
creation to its disposition.
4. What is an Information Management Strategy?
Information Management Strategy is the strategy designed for governing
accountability for the design and structure, security and storage, quality, delivery, usage and
movement of the information that are required for the business and management intelligence
purposes (Punt et al. 2016).
How the two impact on an Organisations Information Management Strategies?
Documentation management helps in tracking, storing and managing the documents
and reducing the use of paper. It keeps records in different versions and can be modified by
several users. In Information Management, it helps in keeping records and tracking the
