GOAL SETTING AND PLANNING GENERAL FRAMEWORK
Introduction
Goal setting is one of the most fundamental things that can be done by either an
individual or even an organization in relation to attaining a specific objective within the
stipulated time frame (Bendtsen et al. 2016). Moreover, for and adequate and reliable goal
setting to be implemented across different boundaries, there are quite a number of parameters
and issues that needs to be put into place thus making it much easier to attain all the required
goals within the stipulated time frame. In order for a particular set of goals to be set together with
the planning of a particular general framework, there needs to be the implementation of a wide
range of ethical considerations that are capable of creating one of the best boundaries so far
regarding what should be done together with what should always be avoided in relation to
carrying out different operations that are likely to bring on board a wide range of positive
outcomes within a short time frame. On the other hand, implementing various aspects of goal
setting clearly means that a particular individual or organization is working hard towards the
direction of coming up with a wide range of objectives whose nature will be fully determined by
the type of goals that have been put into consideration. Moreover, goal setting is known to have
the capability of fully determine the future outcome of a given organization or personality in
terms of how they present themselves.
Over the past period, people have been able to confuse goal setting with vision not
knowing that these are two different parameters that have the capability of serving totally
different purposes under various conditions. Setting of goals is one thing in life that normally
requires a lot of actions in order for a particular individual or organization to reach the required
level (Gurteen 2016). At the same time, visions totally don’t require any actions to be undertaken

and that is where the difference normally emerges between goal setting and vision. At some
point, it can always be referred to as a motivating factor that is capable of providing an
appropriate and reliable direction regarding the path that needs to be chosen to ensure that a wide
range of positive outcomes are adequately attained irrespective of the encounters that a given
personality or organization is capable of experiencing (Ho, Ahmad and Ramayah 2016). For a
particular group to be able to take part in goal setting, they must be able to implement various
positive aspects of decision making that will be capable of guiding them through various issues
thus making them to develop the art of being realistic in all the goals that they will be able to set
on board. This will in turn provide one of the easiest time to adequately understand what is
taking place in relation to how various goals were brought into consideration (Manuj and
Mentzer 2018). One major essential thing that is always attached to goal setting is that it has the
capability of scaling up the condition of a particular individual or even organization most so
when it is given the first priority (Michalak and Rysavy 2016).
Importance of goal setting in planning
Goal setting is also known to have the capability of playing an essential role within the
boundaries of planning. Over the past period, it has been able to bring on board a wide range of
positive outcomes that have ended up creating one of the most reasonable positive reputations in
planning (González-Cruz and Cruz-Ros 2016). One of the major importance that is attached to
goal setting as far as planning is concerned is that it brings on board an optimum utilization of
various forms of resources (Morgan and Hunt 2016). At some point, there are always not enough
resources to carry out different operations, as a result of this, setting of different types of goals
will adequately help to prioritize various aspects thus making it much easier for an organization
to place its resources behind various operations that it plans to carry out within a given time

frame. On the other hand, goal setting has been able to bring on board an adequate and effective
use of time as far as planning is concerned. This is done through an improvement of how
different operations are made thus ensuring that much focus and time is given to some of the
important aspects that are likely to bring on board a wide variety of outcomes within the
boundaries of outcomes (Pandey et al. 2016). Additionally, goal setting will ensure that all the
decisions that are made within the boundaries of planning are adequately clarified thus making it
much easier for an organization to know what it’s trying to do and be able to raise quite a
number of questions regarding whether all the activities that it carries out are capable of deriving
it towards the right direction in relation to the goals. Goal setting has ensured that appropriate
and reliable communication with various parties is adequately implemented during planning
process. This clearly indicates that setting of goals will enable an individual or an organization to
clarify with various parties regarding what they are trying to do thus making them to easily
evaluate what they need to contribute in order to make the entire planning process a success.
Appropriate guidance path is also developed as a result of goals setting within the boundaries of
planning thereby providing one of the most reasonable guidelines pertaining some of the
operations that needs to be given the first priority during the planning process thus ensuring that
a wide range of positive results are appropriately attained within the right time without any
delays being encountered (Cvijanović, Dasgupta and Zachariadis 2016). The rate at which goal
setting has been able to fully support planning has been very essential thus enabling various
aspects to gain popularity across different boundaries. All the positive outcomes in goal setting
are conditions that are not self-driven but instead they need to be fully supported by various
personalities including leaders who tend to carry out various operations within various
organizations (Ogunyomi and Bruning 2016). It is as a result of the support obtained from these
