Executive summary
The case study of Cadbury World is considered in the assignment that elaborates the history and
product advancement of Cadbury World, factors of its marketing and operational functions,
along with offering key numerical data. SWOT analysis has significant role in improving the
viability of the company. The threats of the company with weakness can put at risk the
company’s future and to identify those risks, the role of SWOT analysis is immersive. Business
model canvas has nine elements with its own strength and weakness that elaborate the product
value proposition of the product. Strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of each element
are shown in the paper in order to evaluate the importance of the element in the referred case
study.

Introduction
It can be seen that the world has a sharp turn over the last twenty years, and the major
contribution in such change is the globalization and development of technology. The case study
of Cadbury World is chosen for this paper in order to elaborate the business model canvas and
SWOT analysis of each elements of the canvas. In the context of the case study, it has been
found that Cadbury World started its life mainly in the form of the public relation tool, but
rapidly turns out to be a prevalent half day place for all age of people that are considering for
quality leisure time. The vision of the company is to offer a great experience and offer an
alternative to the difficulty from the general public deprived of entree to the tour of Bournviille
factory, which ended because of the practicalities of health and security around the time of the
merger between Schweppers and Cadbury in 1969.
This paper will emphasise the business model canvas covering nine elements of the case study.
This would enable readers to understand the role of the business model canvas in the Cadbury
World. Along with that, each element will demonstrate in an effective manner with the help of
the SWOT analysis, in which strength, weakness, opportunity and threats will be portrayed.

The major activity of Cadbury world can be seen from the case study that it took lengthier to
handle as the Cadbury World “gift shop” strategy required being line up to severe and actual
business issues considering to the menace to effective commercial bonding. The main focus of
the company is to open the general public and provide a great experience of use of latest
technology. The websites of Cadbury makes easy for customers to navigate and provide the
opportunities to visitor to involve in the family of Cadbury by uploading their pictures on the
portal (Butt et al. 2017).
Strengths Cadbury offers great experience by making use

attain break-even cost along with delivering

The Cadbury has attained key resources in the form of humans and staffing. The staff at the
company is passionate for working concerning unique leisure attraction. The company had 100
fulltime employees when it was opened. Out of 100 employees, 65 were exhibition staff and
remaining was assigned for catering, retail and administration (Chance, 2019). As business
patterns changed over the time, the staffing levels are cropped to comprise part time and seasonal
labour. It was flexible enough to fit the flow of visitors. Later, the staff was acquired by
contracting to a specialist catering company.
Strengths The staff of the Cadbury world is always
passionate for working in distinctive leisure
fascination and as a fragment of the extensive
business of Cadbury.
Weaknesses More flexibility given to staff like part time
and seasoned labour can lead to lack of interest
in the activities conducted at the company.
Opportunities The key resources of Cadbury world are strong

Threats The company has to face huge queues at the
starting of the day. It becomes challenge for
the company to make visitors participate in the
