MANAGEMENT
Discrimination
National Australian Bank (NAB) is one of the four largest financial institutions
located in Australia and is ranked 21st in the world (Nab.com.au, 2019). The code of conduct
at the National Australia Bank is based on the proper management of the people so that its
dominance can be met in the country. In this regard, it can be seen that that the employees
involved with the National Australian Bank achieve sustainable performance by providing
worth to the customers (Nab.com.au, 2019). Therefore, as observed by Vickers (2016) that
the Code of Conduct related to the discrimination on the employees, rests on the principles
that every people working at the bank need to be treated with respect and dignity.
As stated by Burlingame (2018) the reason for the success of the bank is not only that
it refrains from discriminating between employees but also from undergoing any
discrimination between the customers. As observed by Sethi (2016) the result of the
application of the particular code of conduct is that it provides employees with an opportunity
to behave morally as well as provide motivation to convey any grievances or ideas. One of
the chief benefits provided by National Australian Bank is that it can lift the breach regarding
discrimination through the People Division of the bank and by the leader people of the portal
(Nab.com.au, 2019).
At the same time, the breach may lead to several consequences that include
undertaking corrective actions such as counselling and cautiousness. The code of conduct
directed at discrimination provides National Australian Bank with an opportunity of safety to
the people that causes disclosure and at the same time acts in an unprofessional manner
(Nab.com.au, 2019). The aim of the bank is to ensure provide effective customer and
employee support.
