Introduction
This particular report has been drafted to be used by Jared Owili Ochieng who is a project leader
for next Gen S2 Active Tourer’s first solar-powered model car to assist in the study as well as the
development of this model. Gen S2 Active Tourer has been very popular among the Japanese
products due to its admirable characteristics include interior space, price, the ratio of the
performance and finally proper performance in fuel consumption(Jadhao, and Thombare 2013).
However, it is important to note that the word is a slow movement towards green energy
investments. There has been a concern which has been raised by the environmentalist globally on
the increasing rate of pollution from the carbon which is emitted by the cars that use fossil fuels.
It is on this basis that the new design concept must be developed which takes into consideration
the protection of the environment.

The reports advocates for the incorporation of the hybrid technology are the subsequent
models of the next Gen S2 Active Tourer. The use of the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle has
been proposed as one of the potentials ways of reducing the carbon emission from the
automobiles. Gen S2 Active Tourer has been tested for this particular technology and in fact, it
has shown perfect exploration in the presented results. This has laid a potential ground for the
application of this technology in the case of the Gen S2 Active Tourer. This particular report
discusses in detail the subsequent generation of the Gen S2 Active Tourer that employs the
technology of the PHEV while considering specific sections including market demand,
manufacturing, powertrain, regulation, and finally body.
Cost
The price of the proposed model of Gen S2 Active Tourer will definitely increase with the
incorporation of the PHEV technology. The increase in the cost of the next generation model will
be due to the presence of the battery pack. The proposed new model will use lithium batteries
with one set utilizing at least 26 batteries(Liu et al 2013). It is estimated that the price of each
battery of such kind will cost 200AUD while the battery pack's price is estimated to be
6500AUD. The other factors which will contribute to the increase in the price include the
installation tool for the lithium batteries as well as the labor required. Upon doing a
comprehensive survey of the relevant data on the average price of the tools as well as the cost of
labor for the battery installation, the price became 800AUD. This brings the general price of the
pack of the batteries to 7300AUD.In simple mathematical interpretation; the original cost of the
Gen S2 Active Tourer will increase by 7300AUD.

One of the available options available for the Gen S2 Active Tourer Company will be engaging
other companies with the potential to hire technicians as well as researchers on the Hybrid
technology. These technicians will be expected to carry out a study on the battery packs so as to
conduct an analysis of the pre-production. Although this kind of the initiative will be expected to
increase the cost of the management in general, it will help the Gen S2 Active Tourer companies
to reduce the risk of the accidents as well as improving the efficiency of this particular product.
The establishment of the “Gen S2 Active Tourer Hybrid Research Institute " is likely to be one
of the ways of enhancing the process of training the employs to match the requirements of the
new car manufacturing skills. This initiative will not only be helpful in the solution of the
problem related to the body components but also eliminate the movements considered to be
