INTRODUCTION
Management is the activity with the help of which the organisations aims to achieve their
objectives by efficiently utilising their resources and by controlling and managing the efforts of
the employees (Hyde, 2019). Organisations take various actions and steps with the help of
which they can improve the quality of life of the customers by satisfying their needs and wants.
For this they offer wide variety of products and services to them. With the same reason various
musical events are organised. Music festivals are the community events in which various
performers give their live performances which include both singing and playing of the musical
instruments. Such festivals are organised with some themes such as genre, nationality, locality,
culture etc. these musical events are organised by the various oragsnaition indoor as well as
outdoor which depends upon the nature and themes, crowd and the other related activities.
This report is based on a project related to the musical festival to be organised by
National Museum Wales. The AC-NMW is an organisation which is supported by the Welsh
Government and it comprises of seven museums in Whales. All these museums are highly
renowned and attract a lot of visitors every day. AC-NMW aims to organise an event music
festival in one of their sites i.e., St Fagans, National History Museum. This is considered to be
one of the largest museums of all seven. It is an open museum which frequently organise various
events for celebrating the culture and the life of Welsh. The museum has gone for
redevelopment and now it is an opportunity to organise an event herein. AC-NMW aims to
organise an event with which they can create a new culture and encourage participation of the
public so that the collection of the museum can be appraised and various stories can be
developed for the collection which can promote it.
As AC-NMW aims to organise a musical festival in St Fagans, National History Museum
so to support this various analysis are conducted in this report by identifying various objectives.
For achieving such objectives various supportive evidences are provided which includes various
analyses such as PESTLE Analysis for the identification of the market, SWOT analysis for the
determination of the strengths and weaknesses of the current activities and future events. In
Document Page
addition to this feasibility analysis was supported with the help of various factors that need to be
considered are identified so that the event can be organised efficiently. This includes mapping of
the stakeholders, determination of the market factors along with technical and organisational
feasibility. Apart from this the cost benefit analysis was undertaken in which they have focussed
upon the biding from suppliers so that they can finance various activities related to the event. For
support the entire event a Gantt chart is prepared with the help of which the timely completion of
the project can be ensured. On the basis of this a reflection is provided in which all the problems
that are faced by the project managers along with various learning are discussed which can
support to develop an understanding of which problems can impact and to what extent also what
can be possible actions that can be taken.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

is done with the help of which the impact of the movement in various factors such as competition
can be analysed.
To evaluate the current position of the museum so that effective strategies can be formulated that
can help in meeting client requirements
To support this objective of the project it is important to analyse various external environment
factors that can affect the organisation of the event with the help of PESTLE analysis. Apart
from this the strengths and weakness of the project is determined with the help of SWOT
analysis for both the current events that are organised within the museum as well as for the future
events that are to be organised. But to support this various programmes that are taking placing
need to be identified and analysed.
To conduct a technical feasibility so that the technological requirements can be determined along
with the logistics required so that the implementation of project can be done
To support this objective technical feasibility has been taken into consideration with the
help of which various technical requirements for organising the musical festival will be
identified along with various phases. Also, various factors will be determined that can effect

management of the museum will be analysed along with its effectiveness in undertaking this new
project.
METHODOLOGY
For accomplishing the above mentioned objectives as per the requirement of the project
various methodologies will be used so that analysis can be done effectively. It is important to
determine various methodologies before starting project as with this it can be ensure that from
where the data need to be collected (Metcalfe, 2018). The approach that will be taken into
consideration for achieving this objective includes the secondary research which suggest that
study is done the secondary data and moreover a text of research with various theoretical
information. For supporting all the analysis that are undertaken in the report various secondary
information were gathered and with the help of which critical analysis was facilitated that
supported the study.
OBJECTIVE 1
Stakeholder Mapping
In order to make project successful it is important that the support and trust of all the
stakeholders who are either directly or indirectly linked with the project or are affected by the
decisions being made during the project can be achieved. Stakeholders are important to be
satisfied by the project so that they can support in making the project successful and sustainable.
Stakeholder mapping is a process in which all the stakeholders who are linked with the project
are identified and visually represented on one map so that all the people who can influence the
direction of the project can be represented (Bideci and Albayrak, 2018). In this report a
feasibility study related to a project wherein a music festival is proposed to be implemented at
AC-NMW which can help in creating a more dynamic and inclusive environment at the museum
so that all the visitors can gain an idea about Welsh culture can be created is discussed. The
stakeholders who will be affected by this project will be tourists, museum authority, government
of Wales, Welsh community, press etc. It is important that these stakeholders are identified so
that they can be influenced by the benefits of the project so that their support can be gained.
The stakeholder mapping can thus help in identifying the people who can impact on the
successful implementation of the project and achieving the objectives of the project. It will also
help in managing their expectations in an efficient manner. Involving the stakeholders can also
Document Page
help in gaining their insights on the project so that new ideas on how the project can be made
better can also be achieved which will help in enhancing the quality of the project. There are
various ways through which the stakeholders can be identified:
Brainstorming: The potential stakeholders can be identified by the way of brainstorming
so that the people who will be affected by the project can be identified and influenced so
that they can support the sustainability of the project (Gómez-Zapata and Herrero-Prieto,
2018).
Prioritization: It is important that the identified stakeholders are prioritized base on their
level of influence and interest in the outcomes of the project so that efforts can be made
on influencing the people who have great impact on the project.
Stakeholder communication: It is important that effective communication with the
stakeholders is done so that they can get an idea about the project and can help in making
the project successful. The benefits of the project must be communicated to them so that
they can understand about the importance of project like the music festival can help in
creating a more dynamic, participative and inclusive museum culture which can help in
spreading the awareness about the history and culture of Wales to its visitors in an
efficient manner. It will also help in developing a unique experience so that more number
of visitors can be attracted (Knudsen, 2016).
Stakeholder analysis
It is a process through which the stakeholders of the project can be categorised based on
their level of participation, interest and interest in the project so that it can be identified that
which stakeholders are of the highest priority for the success and sustainability of the project.
The project in this report is related with implementation of music festival in AC-NMW will be
done that can help in its re-development which makes it important that the stakeholders are
identified so that their sentiments so not get hurt and also the ancient culture and history of
Wales can be respected. Following are the ways in which the stakeholders can be analysed based
on their level of interest and power on a project:
High power, high interest: These are the stakeholders who are highly interested in the
project and also have high power on the success of the project. These people must be
highly engaged in the project so that they can be satisfied and their support can be gained
like Welsh community and media (Jablonkowska, 2016).

High power, low interest: These are the people who have high power on the project
outcomes but are less interested in how it is being executed. These people must be kept
satisfied but they must not be much involved in the project as they can become bored
with the message like authorities of museum
Low power, high interest: These are the people who are highly interested in the project
but they do not have power over the project and so they must be communicated
adequately so that their interest can be continued which can help in getting support from
them like the visitors.
Low power, low interest: These are the people who neither have power nor are interested
in the outcomes of the project and so they can be kept adequately satisfied by the project
but excessive communication can bore them like the people of other nations.
Thus it is important that the stakeholder so identified are kept satisfied by the project so that
they can be involved in making decisions that can help in gaining their support which is
important for the success of the project. These stakeholders must be kept satisfied which can help
in achieving the objectives of the project and also in attracting more number of visitors to AC-
NMW.
Market analysis
Market analysis is related to assessing the market both qualitatively and quantitatively so
that both the value and volume of market can be determined which can help in determining the
feasibility of the project. It help in determining the ability of a project in gaining the desired
objectives so that it can be determined of the project must be carried out or not. This will help in
gaining information about the attractiveness of the project and its ability in being successful over
a long period of time. The market analysis can help in determining the following information
based on which the feasibility of the project can be determined:
Market size: It is related with the size or the number of customers that are present in the
market so that the feasibility of a project can be determined. In this project wherein re-
development of the AC_NMW is done so that the museum can become more inclusive
and create an engaging environment for the visitor so that the Welsh culture and history
can be made understood to the tourist in an interesting manner. as music festival will be
implemented in the museum it can help in attracting a large number of tourists from
many places thereby increasing the market size of the museum (Franklin, 2016). This can
Document Page
also help in generating more profit and also in spreading information about the culture of
Wales.
Growth rate of the market: As the tourism industry is increasing and the visitors are
always looking for placers that can help in fascinating them along with increasing their
knowledge the growth rate of market is high. The music festival implementation in AC-
NMW can help in attraction a large number of tourist and help in the economic
development of the region making this project feasible. The rate at which market is
expanding affect the success of the project so it is important that the project is established
at a place that has an expanding market.
Market profitability: The profitability of the market can be determined by the number of
customers that are available in the market which can help in increasing the profits of the
business. As tourism industry is increasing the ability of market in growing and
expanding is more that can help in generating huge profits through the project. The music
festival in museum can help in attracting more number of tourist so it can be said that the
profit of the project is more (Adelt, 2017).
Key success factors: These are the factors that play an important role in the success of a
project and must be considered so that the project can be made sustainable over a long
period of time. The key success factors of the project are music events, sound system,
visitors, media coverage, marketing etc. which can help in making the project highly
successful and also in increasing the profits of the project. It is thus important that while
implementing the project the success factors are present which can help in making the
project successful and achieving the aims of the project and also in spreading the
knowledge about the culture and history of the project.
Distribution channels: These are the factors that help in determining the ease of
conducting a business by having effective distribution channels so that customers can be
reached easily and they can be provided with the goods and services on time. In this
project the effectiveness with which marketing is done about the music festival will help
in determining the success of the project. Use of advertisements on social media, TVs etc.
can help in broadcasting about the project so that a large number of tourists can be
attracted. Also having efficient transportation system, accommodation facilities, and
recreational activities can help in making the project more successful (Bourne, 2016).

Forecasting factors that can affect the successful implementation of project
It is important that the factors that can affect the effective implementation of the project are
identified so that appropriate steps can be taken on the right time and in an effective manner
which can help in minimising the negative impacts of these factors. These factors can pose a risk
at the success and sustainability of the project and should be identified on time which can help in
taking efficient measures. This will help in making the music festival at AC_NMW highly
successful; and will contribute towards the economic development and also in spreading about
the knowledge of history and culture of the project. Following are the factors that can be
forecasted before starting the project so that it can be completed in an efficient manner and on
time so that the objectives can be efficiently achieved:
Clearly defining the objectives: It is important that the goals and objectives that are to be
achieved by the project must be realistic and clearly defined so that all the team members
can be efficiently involved in its completion. This help in completing the project on time
and in an efficient manner (Knecht, Herber and Stephen, 2018).
Designing a realistic budget and schedule: It is important that a realistic budget and time
schedule is formed so that the costs can be apportioned amongst all the activities in an
efficient manner so that each activity can be completed on time. Budget must be designed
in such a manner so that all the activitiesv can be completed on time. Using a Gantt Chart
can help in dividing time in an appropriate manner among all the activities so that they
can be completed using sufficient time.
Ensuring that the forecasting is driver-based: It means that the forecasting is done base
on the factors that can help in analysing the drivers which influence in the completion of
the project. This can help in analysing the impact of finances, risks etc. so that project can
be strategically completed. This will help in making sure that the music festival at
museum will be successful and help in attracting more number of tourists and help in
making the AC-NMW a unique tourist spot.
Increasing participation of all the members associated: All the stakeholder who are
associated with the project must be included in the execution of the project so that an
inclusive working environment can be created that can help in completion of the project
ion time. It will also help in gaining the support of the stakeholders so that project can be
made highly effective (Larondelle, Frantzeskaki and Haase, 2016).

Analysing the risk factors: It is important that the risk factors which can negatively affect
the success of the project are analysed so that effective actions can be taken that can help
in minimising these risks. Risks such as not being able to get permission from
government, opposition by the media etc. are the risks that can affect the success of
project.
OBJECTIVE 2
PESTLE analysis of the new project
Pestle analysis is a tool and a framework of management with the help of which the impact
of various external factors can be identified on the strategies of the business its decision making.
The success of the business is directly dependent upon the ability of to adapt the change that is
taking place within the business environment. This tool is considered to be an effective tool for
analysing the macroeconomic perception and to facilitate long term strategic planning. With this
understanding of various factors such as political, economic, social, legal and environmental.
Apart from this, the model can be used by the organizations for gathering information about the
client that concerns the external factors (Pérez-Gálvez, 2017). The musical festival attract a lot of
people due to which the companies focuses upon organising such events but they are affected by
various external factors as they have various adverse impact on the society and the environment.
To support this project it is important to determine the impact of all such factors on the
organisation of the event of the musical festival by AC-NMW. This will ensure that all the
planning and strategy are formulated well in advance so that any influence can be managed.
Various external factor along with the extent along with their impact are given below:
Political factors: In the political factors various influencers must be taken into consideration such
as political stability, tax implications, policies of the government, trade agreements on a global
level, various restrictions imposed on the engagement of the shareholders and many more. In UK
the prevailing political conditions are stable due to political stability this has positive impact on
the musical festival to be organised by AC-NMW because it is expected that they not bring any
change in the policies in the near future. Also the live music act so imposed on the music event
that are organised in open air has taken over the requirement of license which is also an
opportunity for them to successfully organise the event. But to manage the local authority is must
Document Page
in context of the noise pollution so created due to the event and this can affect the organisation of
the event at a particular location (Gottfried, 2018).
Economic factors: While considering the economic factor impact of various factors such as
interest rate, inflation, cost of living in the economy, economic growth, exchange rate etc. must
be considered as they have direct impact on the profitability of the organisation. The musical
festivals are recreational activity due to which everyone shows their interest in taking part in
such festivals. Due to this it does not have any impact of the economic recessions that may
prevail as people save their money and spend on such events which also implies that they are not
affected by the income level of the people in the economy. National Museum Wales has
opportunity to easily organise such an event as they do not have any significant impact of
economic factors (Hunter, Reid and Boddy, 2018).
Social factors: The impact of social factors is also very crucial to understand as the organisation
ultimately aims to satisfy its customers. The factors includes lifestyle choices of the people,
expectations, cultural norms, behaviour and attitude, level of education, demographics of the
population, and many more. With the changing the preference of the people and the changing
outlook towards life such events has positive impact of it. The people in UK are open to such
activities due to which they take interest and with this AC-NMW can easily attract significant
number of audiences to the event. But it is affected by the type of event that is being organised
such as if the cultural or any folk festival will be organised then the number may not be large.
This can affect the event and its success which is must for AC-NMW to take into consideration
at the time of planning to organise the event (Jiang, 2018).
Technological factors: Technological advancement has been emerging significantly which has a
greater influence on each and every organisation as to ensure their survival they have to adopt
new technology and innovation. Various factors that must be considered which include
automation in the processes, new innovation in the techniques, change in the existing technology
which has impact on the outcomes, emergence of artificial intelligence etc. The live events uses
better technology due to which they must need to appoint such a company that can provide them
better sound system and platform for the singers and musicians to show their talent. But this will
adversely affect the availability of funds with the company. Due to this National Museum Wales
must carry out the bidding process so that they can organise an event as per their requirement.
Document Page
Legal factors: The legal factor includes the understanding of various laws and legislation on the
operations as consideration of these factors can lead to a reduction on its impact. Various legal
consideration are in context of laws related to the license for organising the event which is not
required to them as they have their own premises and this offers opportunity for them to organise
the event. But the implications of the local bodies can affect the event.
Environmental factors: With the increasing awareness among the people for the environment
these factors have started affecting the operations of the organisation. To determine the impact of
such factors the impact of organisational activities on the environment must be analysed along
with various environmental laws and regulations for protecting the environment. The waste that
generate from the events must be managed and the resources of the environment must be
managed in such a manner that it does not affects it adversely. For this the National Museum
Wales must plan for the waste management and for this they can even launch the bid who can
manage the use of the resources efficiently and to minimise the impact on the event on the
environment (Bean, 2016).
On the basis of this pestel analysis it is identified that most of the external factors are in
favour of the AC-NMW for organising the musical festival. Due to political stability in the
country, the political factors do not have any significant impact similarly the economic
conditions prevailing in the country does not affect such an event because people prefer such
event without considering their level of income whereas the social factor can influence the event
because the perception, taste, and preference of the people depends upon the type of musical
festival that has been organised. Also the technological factor has a significant impact on the
musical festival to be organised by AC-NMW because with the changing technology it becomes
important for them to provide better technological platform for the performers. This affect the
cost of organising the event which has to be managed by AC-NMW so that they can organise a
sustainable event (Achinas, 2019).
SWOT analysis of the new project
The study of SWOT is organised by the organisation for determining strength, weakness,
opportunities and threats of various events that are organised along with various projects that are
to be undertaken by them. With the help of this formulate various strategic plans by considering
proper utilising their resources along with the strength and opportunities by minimising the
impact of various threats and weaknesses. SWOT analysis is considered to be an appropriate

method for analysing various situations and its impact on the activities related to that situation.
Further it enables to determine various tactics that can help in taking competitive advantage by
grabbing the opportunities with the help of strengths (Perera, 2017). Such analysis is organised
for National Museum Wales regarding the new project which is given below:
Strengths: St Fagans is the place where the event is to be organized by the National Museum
Wales which is world’s leading open–air museums and considered to the most visited heritage
attracting of the Wales. Due to this it will be easy for them to attract a large number of audiences
to attend the event. This will enable them to serve their purpose of creating a dynamic,
participatory and inclusive museum. In addition to this the museum has been renovated due to
which various additional features has been developed within the campus such as farmhouses, a
row of ironworkers’ cottages, a medieval church, a Victorian school, a chapel and a splendid
Workmen’s Institute. All has increased the ability to attract more and more people. This event of
musical festival will enable them to gather people and to analyst the change that has taken place
in the museum after the renovation (McCann, 2016).
Weaknesses: For organising the events the funds are the most important requirement that has to
be taken into consideration by the organisation. For organising this new event it is important for
the National Museum Wales to attract significant investors who can provide them the funds for
organizing significantly such a large event. The museum is dependent upon the funds so
provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Welsh Government for managing the
experience of the visitors to the place. But to support the new project various sources of funding
must be identified. In addition to this they organise the traditional events and cultural events
which may not attract the youth who are interested more rock music (Kumar, 2019).
Opportunities: With the renovation so made the management has the opportunity to promote the
place with the help of which they can attract the visitors across globe to the museum and this will
enable them to organise more events on large scale. The musical event so planned to be
organised will be covered by the media which will facilitate them to publish the news on various
social media platform and with this they can create awareness about the aim and importance of
the museum for understanding the culture of the Wales. In addition to this the new project has
the opportunity to organise different types of musical festival so that they can attract different
type of people with different taste to the place. Along with this the accommodation facilities can
be provided to the guests in the farmhouses so constructed within the premises as this will enable
Document Page
them to spend more time around the museum. With this they can understand the art and culture
and this can open various opportunities for investment and others expansions which will has
positive impact on both the museum and that to the national economy.
Threats: The biggest threat that is associated with this new project includes that the cost that is
involved in organising this event is high and if the project will not become successful then it can
lead to financial losses and liability to the organisation. In addition to this the threat is of the lack
of interest of the people in traditional activities and various implications on the events can affect
the organisation of the musical event (Weber, 2017).
On the basis of this it is identified that the while organising of musical festival by National
Museum Wales has been various strength as with this they can contribute to the collection of the
funds of the museum with the help of which they can contribute to the better living standard of
the people of Wales by providing various opportunities to them. The weaknesses is related to the
interest of the people in traditional and cultural activity due to the growing interest of the people
in rock music. But with the renovation in the museum various opportunities have been offered to
them which includes the school so developed, farmhouses etc. will enable them to attract visitors
with accommodation facilities in the museum promises. In addition to this the threats that they
have been facing are related with the shortage of funds organising the musical festival as it
require a lot of funds which is not available with the museum. So to deal with this the National
Museum Wales will go for bidding process which they can shift the responsibility unto others
(Low, 2018).
Programmes that are being run in the museum currently
St Fagans is a renowned and open–air museums in which a large number of visitors visit as
it is heritage attracting. To maintain this large number of changes has been introduced with the
renovation so done with the aim of creating a dynamic, participatory and inclusive museum in
which the tradition of Wales can be promoted. For this various new buildings are constructed
within the premises so that collection can be increased significantly and that can be used for the
betterment of the people of Wales and encouraging people to ensure their contribution in
achieving their objective. This is because they will be unity for deeper engagement and to
participate in various events that are been organised within the museum. Various programs that
are organised which include workshops where craftsmen demonstrate their traditional skills, the
clog makers and blacksmith demonstrate their abilities, the Weavers from the 18th century are
Document Page
there demonstrating their woolen mill and also miller that is producing flour demonstrate their
abilities (Garwood and Poole, 2018). With the help of these the visitors gain insight of various
traditional activities as well as the cultural heritage of Wales. Along with these various
traditional music and dance events are celebrated at St Fagans that let the people explore how
people in Wales spend their lives, how do they work and what do they do in their leisure time.
This Museum is also used for the shooting of various films such as various episodes of Dr. Who
are filmed at the Museum and many more. The funding has been provided to the museum by The
Heritage Lottery Fund as well as the Welsh government which is limited but is provided with
him to transform the experience of the visitors.
Strengths and weaknesses of current programmes
In the museum various events are organised for promoting the place as well as for promoting
the tradition and culture of Wales. This let the visitors know about the lavish life style of the city
and various other related aspects. The SWOT analysis for the new project was done with the help
of which the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats can be identified. But for ensuring
the improvement and for making the new project successful it is important to determine strengths
and weaknesses of the current programs that has been organised within the premises of the
museum (Meng and Boyd, 2017).
Strengths: The strengths with the existing or current events that are taking place within the
museum includes the workshops of various people such craftsman who demonstrate their
traditional skills and the product so produced by them can be sold. This enables them to
attract revenue for the resort as well as attracts the people who are interested in traditional
and handwork. They have presently organising various events related to the cultural
activities that take place in Wales. This is sufficient enough to the visitors to understand the
culture and tradition of the place and with this they serve their purpose of promoting the
culture of the destination.
Weaknesses: The weaknesses of various activities that are being organised includes that the
products so produced by the craftsman are quite costly as they are handmade as well as they
have to recover the cost of demonstrating the skills within the premises, this leads to very

that all of the income and revenue is used to reconstruct museum and for welfare of society.
Moreover, this structure is also beneficial for management because the main for business is
to decide potential area through which culture and knowledge about country is provided.

Example- The aim of music festival is to represent enrich culture of Wales to attract more
number of individuals towards destination of historic building of Wales.
Organisational structure- It is one of the best way that is used by management for
representing information about goals and objectives among all stakeholders. This refers that
organizational chart undertake all essential information that is required to manage and

subordinate position that transfer from top authorities to all other individuals. Scalar chain
and line of command organizational structure is followed and implement by St Fagans,
National History Museum and it is feasible because most of items stored in Museum are
precious and belong too historic items. So each decision ensure that historic performance

Internal operations- The main functions for each perspective that is leading business are
based on principle and practices of management followed by Museum. According to this
area organisation determines that with better interest of authorities in music festival better

directors. So both employee also able to make results that least in making principle which is
used for reflecting principle of knowledge and then use them in music festival.
Feasibility study for event- In the present scenario, it is identified that music festival
consists of different task and operations which is performed through listing all activities as
per decided description for each product and service. The data which is provided by
management consists of various factors and this all are related with product and service area.
Open area and location is perfect for music event and is also provide space for completing
all activity and set of stage requirements. Another important value which is used from
perspective of economic terms are cost and value that attain detail description about
organizational policy related with budget. Ticket which is sold is also depend on economic
aspects and it is leading management to decide place that generates potential number of
investors. Moreover, feasibility consider to provide information about understanding aspect

because as per location it is a place where more number of investor visit place (Burns and
Dewhurst, 2016). In terms of economy the ticket of music festival consist of three different
factors that is providing possibility to gather more crowd for make music festival successful.
GANTT CHART
A Gantt outline is a valuable graphical instrument which shows exercises or undertakings
performed against time. It is otherwise called visual introduction of a venture where the exercises
are separated and shown on a graph which makes it is straightforward and decipher. A Gantt
diagram is a well known device that adopt by St Fagans, National History Museum the board. It
fundamentally penetrates down exercises which should be finished by a fixed times pan. It is
ordinarily utilized for following plans implemented by project manager.
Document Page
On the diagram, undertakings are appeared on the vertical pivot while the planned time-
spend is spread out for each activity. Each assignment is spoken to by a bar that shows the time
required for the venture (Barrow, Barrow and Brown, 2015). The bar at that point speaks to or
shows level of spending that have been finished. It additionally shows conditions, which
essentially implies the link between different exercises in the undertaking. Understanding the
interlinkage between exercises is imperative to screen and Gantt diagrams help the undertaking
administrator to do only that. It passes on the data about the fruition of different exercises in the
task. This data is significant as a result of the inter linkages between different exercises and on
the off chance that one movement gets postponed it will affect others.

REFLECTION
While carrying out the project initially i felt confused as there were many aspects of a
project that are to be considered so that the project can be made successful and also it is
important to consider all theses aspects within a certain period of time and budget. The project is
very vast and also has a lot of scope for me and the museum which means that all the aspects
needs to be considered so that the scopes can be met and benefits can be gained. This project has
helped in my personal development as i was able to use various concepts that i have learned in
my academics that has helped in completion of the project in an efficient manner and on time. It
can also help in my professional development as i can get future projects that can help in
developing my career option and also help me in getting large projects that can help me
financially. The outcomes of the project can help in effective implementation of music festival in
the AC_NMW that can help the museum in attracting a large number of tourists and also in
making the location a unique spot for tourist attraction. It will also help in spreading the
awareness of the history and culture of Wales and also in creating a dynamic, inclusive and
engaged environment in the museum so that the experience of visitors can be enhanced so that
they can feel refreshed while visiting the museum. Music festival also will help in making the
environment of museum lively and enjoyable for the tourists so that more number of visitors can
be attracted.
After selecting the topic i felt confident and distributed all the components that were to be
included in making the project successful as per time so that all the activities can be covered and
each aspect can be covered in an efficient manner. This helped me in gaining a clear idea about
the path that needed to be followed so that the project can be completed in an efficient manner. i
also defined the objectives of the project by defining them clearly and precisely so that they can
be achieved effectively. In order to achieve each and every objective i decided all the strategies
that i will include so that the objectives can be effectively achieved. I had to work very hard
while deciding the strategies that will be included while achieving an objective as i had to go
through all the aspects in detail and determined their impact on the quality of the project. This
took a lot of time and also i had to take guidance from my teachers and mentor so that they can
guide me about the principles and practices that can be included. Among these strategies i had to
evaluate each of them so that a best and effective strategy can be selected that can help me in
gaining the objectives efficiently. As the project was based on a feasibility study it meant that i

had to do market research so that the affect of my decisions can be studied on the complete
project. The project also required the application of piratical approaches that can help in making
the application of the project in the actual scenario. Also as the project was base on a museum it
means that the project also carried the emotions of the people of Wales, their culture and history
so that project had many sentimental feelings attached. This means that i had to choose each
strategy in an effective manner so that the sentiments do not get hurt while applying the results
of the project.
I initially prepared an A3 report so that all the items that will be included while
conducting the project can be covered in it which will help in giving a clear information about
the steps that are to be involved in the complete research. This helped me in moving on with my
research by considering all the steps so that effective results can be drawn and the conclusions
can help in achieving the objectives well on time. I used various strategies during the project so
that an overall feasibility analysis can be done like PESTLE analysis, SWOT analysis,
stakeholder analysis, stakeholder mapping, market analysis, technological feasibility etc. so that
the project can be made successful. All these strategies helped me in inclusion all the important
processes that can help in improving the results so that the success and sustainability of the
project can be increased. It also helped me in practically applying my academic knowledge in a
real situation so that the ability of museum in increasing its attractiveness can be increased.
While initiating this research i formulated clearly defined objectives and i was able to
draw five objectives that helped me in covering all the important aspects of the project. These
objectives helped in giving me proper directions that i could follow while completing the project
so that the music festival can be successfully implemented in the museum that can help it in
becoming unique site of attraction so that along with attracting more tourists it can also help in
making the museum more inclusive, dynamic and participative so that social and inclusive
museum spaces can be created. As St. Fagans is one of the world’s leading open-air museums
and also Wales is most visited heritage attraction the project implementation was important so
that the more number of tourists can be attracted and the history and culture of Wales can be
made widespread. Visitors can be able to gain a deep insight about the rich heritage and culture
of Wales and also Welsh language so that the importance of Wales as a tourist spot can be
further increased. While carrying on the market analysis i found that the idea of implementing
music festival in AC_NMW can help in increasing the profitability of the area and help in its
Document Page
economic development as with the increase in tourism industry the number of visitors have
increased which can help in making the project highly successful and sustainable.
Evaluation
From this research various evaluations can be made on my ability of effectively
performing a research project so that the objectives of research can be achieved in an efficient
manner. I have effective research and interpretation skills that help me in conducting gthe
research in an efficient manner and also give me confidence that the results that will be drawn by
the research can help in providing various benefits for the company or the area on which research
is conducted. However, during this research i found that as the project was complicated it also
affected my ability in searching for correct sources that can be used to draw information required
to conduct the research. Also i found it difficult to include many strategies all at once in a single
research as the scope of the project was huge and it was essential that all the strategies are
appropriately applied. During the research i also found it difficult in selecting proper models and
approaches that should be applied so that all the five objectives set by me can be accomplished
on time. I had to take guidance from my teachers and mentors so that research can be conducted
in a particular direction and also in confirming the correctness of models which were chosen by
me. During the biding of the project so that the tender of music festival can be given to the best
stakeholder i experienced a lot of difficulties so that the interested stakeholders can be attracted
and also they can be encouraged to bid for the project. It was also difficult for me to engage the
interest of all the stakeholders so that their trust and support can be gained that can help in
completion of the project on time. I also had to be clear while trusting the people around me
while completing the research so that the facts and information can be prevented from getting
stolen or misused thereby affecting the overall quality of the project.
However, there were also many features that helped me during the project and helped in
the completion of project on time. My research skill, confidence, analytical skills and hard work
helped me in completing the project on time so that effective results can be drawn. My effective
communication skills also helped me inefficiently completing the research on time as i was able
to share the information among all the stakeholders in an effective manner. This also helped me
in getting support from my team members and also from the government which allowed me to
conduct the project and also analyse the outcomes so that the importance of music festival for
Document Page
AC_NMW can be increased. I also was able to select all the models efficiently so that each
objective can be achieved well on time and in an efficient manner.
Analysis
The areas where i need t make improvement so that future research projects can be
efficiently completed is that i can improve my habit of procrastinating things which sometimes
keep me away from achieving my goals on time. During the project i also faced various
situations where i felt tensed and stressed and used to procrastinate things so that i could start
afresh which could have delayed the project and affected the overall quality. Thus i need tio
improve my stress management skills so that i can improve on completing the things at hand on
time and not delaying them. also as i gave done previous researches the past experiences affected
my ability on meeting the requirement of the client as i got distracted by my past researches. For
example during arranging for bidding i based my results on preconceived ideas which affected
my ability to select the most appropriate bidder for the project. During the project i also improve
to use my skills on forming Gantt Chart so that all the activities can be allocated with appropriate
time so that sufficient time can be given to each activity that can help in completing the research
is an effective manner. I also can improve on using my skills efficiently in choosing the right
kind of models in carrying out the research so that the trust of clients can be increased in my
skills that can help me in getting more research projects in future. I also sometime got distracted
while the project which means that i invested more time in certain areas while time was not
sufficient for other areas and i had to reschedule the time frequently so that the research can be
completed within the scheduled time and the decided budget.
CONCLUSION
I tried using my skills and knowledge while completing this project in an efficient
manner so that the requirements of the client can be efficiently met and the result of the project
can be effectively applied on AC_NMW so that music festival can be made successful in the
museum. I also used various models and strategies so that the research project can be efficiently
completed on time and within the stipulated budget and also can help in drawing conclusions that
can be practically applied in museum. I used many sources so that i can collect authentic and
reliable information from various sources that can help in making the quality of research high. I
also used my management skills so that i could effectively manage the complete project and

achieve my target on time. Thus i can improve certain areas and make my project management
