Introduction to the job and the sector
My job majorly entails being a business sales manager who is in charge of different types of
sales taking place within the organization. Moreover, it entails coming up with adequate and
reliable strategies that aims towards scaling up the nature of the whole sales department thus
making sure that there is an increased rate in terms of the sales of various products that are
attached my organization (Birk et al. 2016). Additionally, being a sales manager requires an
adequate and reliable implementation of quite a number of leadership strategies that will be able
to offer one of the most fundamental guidelines regarding some of the steps that should be taken
in order to attain a specific objective. Finally, my job falls within the sector of sales department
which is fully in charge of selling quite a number of products and services (Lyon and Maxwell
2011).
Types of business analytics used
There are quite a number of business analytics that are known to be implemented within
the organization in order to fully attain a specific set of objectives within the recommended time
frame. In as much as the descriptive analytics used within the organization are concerned, it is
being used within the boundaries of the sales department to clearly evaluate the total amount of
average weekly sales volume that are being handled by the organization across different
consumer segments (Krasniqi 2014). Moreover, when it comes to issues dealing with predictive
analytics, the organization has been able to appropriately utilize this parameter to predict
different types of products that a specific group of customers are capable of purchasing within a
given time period thereby making sure that quite a number of operations being encountered
within the sales department are appropriately handled (Iglesias 2016). Finally, the organization
has also been able to show much focus on different aspects of prescriptive analysis in most of its

operations taking place within the sales department. This has been implemented through the use
of different forms of mobile applications that are majorly used to connect different customers
with various customer service personnel within the sales department thus providing an easy time
to make an online purchase of different types of products irrespective of the distance of
separation between the customers. Through this experience, a lot of time has been saved thus
making sure that various solutions are accurately solved within an appropriate time.
The business understanding for the analysis
As far as what is entailed within the analysis is concerned, the entire business tends to
have different perspectives in relation to the entire analysis as a result of how different business
operations are being handled. The organization critically believe that the analysis is an important
condition that enables the entire business to the able to expand its technical knowhow in terms of
being creative when it comes to implementing quite a number of new ideas (Ismail and Ali
2016). Moreover, the business also understands that through the analysis, it is much easier to
carry out an evaluation of different types of proposals that are majorly meant for a wide range of
data mining projects thus making sure that a positive progress is made efficiently however little
it might appear to be (Judge and Douglas 2016). At the same time, when it comes to the business
understanding of the whole analysis, it brings on board certain conditions of interactions between
different issues and parameters therefore making it much easier to realize any type of loopholes
that are likely to take place at an early stage thus coming up with a set of recommendations on
how they can be handled in order to produce one of the best results so far (Jelenković and
Barjaktarović 2016).
