Management is considered as an art of getting work done through optimum utilisation of
resources. And, the theories of management is determined as gathering of idea that provide
recommendation on how to handle organisation in an appropriate manner for achieving goal in
timely manner. In this report, the company is undertaken named as TESCO. It is considered as
largest organisation that provides superior quality of products and services to its customers for
satisfying them. This company was founded by Jack Cohen in 1919 and located in UK.
Therefore, in this assignment, there is a discussion regarding how operational management
provide support to organisation in order to achieve goal in timely manner. And also provide
explanation of how administration approach is adopted by organisation to enhance contribution
in respect of growth of organisation. In addition to this, there is a discussion regarding
significance of motivation and how appropriate communication and teamwork offer support for
increasing performance of company (Armstrong and Taylor, 2020).

TESCO is considered as largest organisation that provides superior quality of products and
services to its customers for satisfying them. This company was founded by Jack Cohen in 1919
and located in UK.
The mission of organisation is to provide superior quality of products and services to its
user for satisfying their need.
The vision of TESCO is to achieve leading position around the world.
The objective of company is to increase sales by 10% in 3 months
And, it aids assistance in increasing profit margin by 20% in 2 months
The operation management aids assistance to organisation through which they are capable
to make optimum utilisation of resources such as human, labour as well as input that are adopted
whenever required. Therefore, it aids assistance to company to accomplish goal of increasing
profit as well as increasing its stakeholder by using its activities. It helps in make sure that goods
meet quality standard as well as provide opportunity to assess area in which quality can enhance.
Thus, the main function of operational administration is designing product that must be reliable
and helpful in meeting expectation of customer. In other words, operation management provide

the TESCO adopt operational management in order to achieve objective in timely manner. In

Therefore, it is assess that the operation management helps in accomplishing goal as well as
objective in timely manner (Hayes, 2018). There is various importance of Operational
Management which is going to be mentioned below:
Product and service quality the operational manager focuses on setting list related to
processes and checklist to assess that everything is superior during the process of pre-production.
This involves make sure that it is necessary for every individual person to increase their
awareness regarding need of goods and services that helps organisation in achieving goal in
timely manner. Apart from this, the operational manager of Tesco focuses on analysing need and
want of customer in order to provide them goods and services in timely manner that help in
increasing sales of organisation & also achieving success and growth in future period of time.
Customer satisfaction herein, the operational manager focuses on organising process of
quality administration & methodology adopted to generate a good and services that meet need
and want of customer. If organisation is considered as a service provider then customer is also
important for them. Thus, the operational manager of Tesco focuses on providing superior
quality of product and services to its user in order to retain them for a longer period of time. It is
helpful in achieving goals as well as objective in timely manner.

enhance revenue from the new base of user. The growth in revenue can aids assistance in
launching innovative goods and services by enhancing resources as well as adopt innovative
technology. Therefore, the operational manager of Tesco focuses on providing superior quality

satisfy them that help in increasing revenue in future period of time. And, it is also helpful in
