INTRODUCTION
Incorporating Equality and Diversity is one of the biggest issues which is seen by all the
organization in the rapidly changing environment. As all the employee in the organization
always expect to be treated handsomely in the organization and expect to get the same
opportunity as all the other gets in the organization. Equality and diversity are the name given to
the expectation as equality prompt all the organization to give the equal opportunity to all the
employee in the organization. Diversity stand for giving all the individual in the organisation
equal chance to show their potential in the organization, free from the prejudice and
discrimination. Equality and diversity is the combination of more than one factor in the
organization such as gender pay gap, sexual harassment and gender drive in the leadership role.
Background of study
Gender pay gape is one of the biggest issues which is growing and proving as a biggest
obstacle in incorporating the equality and diversity in the organization. Gender pay gap is the
difference between the pay of the different gender in the organization. This report highlights the
same for the Asda to understand the concept of the gander pay gap in the organization. Report
also explain the main reason behind the difference in pay of male and female and impact of the
same on the performance of employee in workplace.

Rationale
Reason behind selecting gender pay gape as a topic is that it is one of the current problem
which is faced in the company as female are becoming more aware about the different
discrimination in the organization. Also researcher was also having the personal interest in this
topic as he also has to find out the measure of the same.
Project management plan
Scope: Scope is the element which used to explain the relevancy of the project topic
which has been selected. This will help Asda in getting the knowledge about the impact which
used to be brought by the gender pay gap on the performance of business. Also the study will
help the Asda in getting the better knowledge and aspect about the gender pay gape.
Time- Time element of Project management plan used to explain the amount of duration
or the period which will be required in the organization to complete the study on the topic. This
study will take the minimum of 8-10 week to get completed (Chen, Kang, and Lee, 2017).
Cost- This element of the project management plan will look at the expenditure which
will be incurred to complete the Study. This will will cover the expenditure of all the stage of
completion of the project. For completing this study it will cost around £1000 for the Asda.
Quality- Quality refers to benchmark and standard against which the result of the study
can be measured to find out the quality of the research which has been completed. This study of
Asda is also conducted with the top level of quality as the basis on which the research is conduct
that is data is collected with the best available source in the market (Costantino, Di Gravio and
Nonino, 2015). Also the study which is conducted is conducted by looking at the Aim and
Objective of the of the research and the result of the study will be measure against the same to
find out the quality of the research.
Communication- Communication is the process through which the message is pass on
from one department to another or in same department. In the process of conducting the research
also there are two type of communication mainly used. Oral communication to have a discussion
among the team about the different issue faced in the study. Written communication is the

communication used to pass on the message between the different department with the help of
the tool like email and Skype. Visual communication is the communication tool is used when the
message is passed on with the help of the different image and picture (Mossalam, and Arafa,
2016).
Risk- Risk element is the element which used to look at the different uncertain activity
which can occur at the time of carrying out the operation of the study. Some of the risk which
was seen was that irrelevancy of the data collected as the study is overwhelmingly depends on
the data which has been collected. Another risk which was seen was the selection of the source
to collect the data.
Resources- Resources are the different thing which will require to carry out the study in
the organization. Some of the resources which are require are financial resources to procure the
different resources. Human resources to carry out different function of the study (Costa Dias,
Joyce and Parodi, 2018).
