 In addition to the research findings, students are asked to submit a project management
plan, a completed log book or similar form of reflective journal and performance
review or similar method of reflective practice as evidence for the unit.
 The project management plan is designed to define how the project is to be planned,
executed and monitored. The project management plan should give details of the
actions required for the integration and co-ordination of various planning activities to
carry out the project.
 The project log book or similar reflective journal is designed to provide evidence of the
project development process and ongoing reflection. It should provide evidence that the
student has thought about the direction of their project and in particular, what problems
they encountered, and steps taken to address them.
Important Notes:
 Use credible sources as references. Research articles on relevant topics are highly
recommended and appreciated.
 Any sources of references without the author and the published date are not
recommended.
 Use Harvard Referencing. Improper referencing will be considered academic
misconduct and will be penalized.
 The performance review or similar method of reflective practice will provide

evidence of reflection and evaluation of the project management process and
individual performance.

Scenario for the Project
Workplace transformation is the rethinking of flexible workspaces to accommodate
different kinds of work, workers, and technology.
With the COVID-19 pandemic,‘Mirage’, a small-scale advertising firm has identified that
it needs to move from a traditional work environment to a more flexible work environment
where employees can work remotely and flexibly. As a result of this finding the
management of Mirage has decided to consider digital workplace transformation to
facilitate the employees in their work.
The management of ‘Mirage’ has identified that it is vital to focus on the following four
dimensions of the workplace ecosystem in its digital workplace transformation strategy to
determine key drivers influencing the workplace transformation.
 space, relating to the design of office buildings and space;
 place, relating to how the workforce is spread across different locations;
 technology and the requirements needed for employees to carry out their roles and
collaborate;

 talent relating to organisational structure and culture.
You are employed as a project coordinator at ‘Mirage’ and you have been asked to conduct
a small-scale business project, into the workplace transformation within the ‘Mirage’,
which is to be presented as a business case for the management on how to implement
workplace transformation through recommended initiatives. The project will involve
investigating how the ‘Mirage’ could implement workplace transformation, investigating
the key drivers of workplace transformation and collating employee feedback. This will be
presented to the management as a business case with proposals to implement workplace
transformation, followed by a performance review in which you will need to reflect upon
the project in relation to your own personal and professional development.
