P1. Devising the clear objectives and aims of the project undertaken
Project Definition and project aim
The use of technologies has become one of the most important parts for
organisations. Integration of technologies has become mandatory for enhancing
performance of each core and noncore department of organisations. Being one of
the largest organizations in the retail industry Primark has to face the increasing
competition in retail industry (Primark.com, 2018). The organisation is therefore
considering adapting several new technologies in its core and non core functions for
up gradation of business functionalities.
Aim- The project aims at initiating a business project for adapting new digital
technologies in Primark. The adaptation of digital technologies is aimed at improving
business activities such as marketing, operations, HR and accounting.
Problem Statement
The company is facing a dilemma for maintaining effective communication with its
internal and external stakeholders. The performance level of other departments such
as marketing, operations and HR are also deteriorating and are not meeting the
expected outcome. Due to lack of communication, the group performance level of
workers and unity has decreased significantly. The effectiveness of marketing has
also decreased as the company is filing to communicate its messages to the
targeted customers and this further is resulting into customer dissatisfaction.
Project Strategy
In order to solve the dilemma of lack of communications among the internal and
external stakeholders, the organisation would use digital technologies. The stagey to
use several digital platforms such as social media, voice calling and other digital
mode for communication for enhancing the connectivity among the internal
stakeholders that is the employees and communicating effectively with customers for
marketing and promoting its products and services.

communication among customers and ensure a better as well as effective
communication with customers. The project plan would help in accomplishing the
project in the most comprehensible, cost effective and time bound manner. This
would help the company gain a firmer grip over its.

The success of the project would be measured by analysing the positive outcomes.
The return on investments would also be used for analysing this project. The level of
customer satisfaction and the number of positive feedbacks would be used for
analysing the success of this project.

The following assumptions are made in developing the project plan:
The project would be completed within the stipulated time
The project would be completed within a reasonable investment
The project would be beneficial for enhancing customer satisfaction
By enhancing communication with the customers the organisation would be
able to understand the requirements of the customers

The main three type of resources that would be used for the project are the material
resources, human resources and financial resources. The revenue of the
organisation would be used for the project. Information regarding the use of digital
technologies in each department would be required. This would require
understanding the opinion of employees regarding the use of technologies in their
organisation.

Implementation Plan
The implementation plan of the project would be done by framing out each step and
the time required for the steps. For this purpose the project management tool Gantt
chart would be used and the entire project would be deveined into different stages by
using project management tools. The project breakdown structure and the Gantt
chart are presented in the flowing section.
