INTRODUCTIONProject is referred to an endeavour undertaken by a business to achieve its objectives.Managing projects involves numerous activities such as is initiating, planning, monitoring orfinishing the work in an effective manner so that preset goals or objectives can be achieved in aspecified time period. Whereas, Globalisation is referred as a procedure in which local andnational economy or culture or society are integrated with global firms. In addition, it is a waywhich integrates the market for expanding the economy. Multinational organisations are thoseorganisations which operates their functions in more than one nation across the world. Theseorganisations are also receive governmental support because they contribute in growth of nation'seconomy. Chosen organisation for this report is McDonald's which is a multinational fast foodindustry. Project management plan will also build that includes scope, time, cost, risk,communication etc. Small scale research will also developed which includes tools andmethodologies. In last, report will covers recommendation and reflection statement which isformed on the basis of undertaking of research.TASK 1P1 Brief introduction about the projectMultinational corporations are those who operates functions in more than one nation. AsMcDonald's is a leading fast food and restaurant chain which has developed its market presenceacross the world. Through the concept of globalisation, it is very easy for them to enter in newnation and use available resources of the nation. Main benefits of globalisation for the nation are,enhancement of employment opportunities, receiving huge tax duties, development ofinfrastructure etc. Whereas, through the concept of globalisation McDonald's can increase theirsales figures, profitability and market presence in easy manner.Background of the researchIn a marketplace, each firm has opportunities for expanding and grabbing the marketshare of sector in which it deals. Main purpose behind conducting this research is to identifyingthe impact of multinational corporation on business environment of a specific destination. As themanagement of McDonald's have decided to expand their market share in Wales nation then theyhave duty to consider various aspects like macro environmental factors, cost of the project, tasteand preferences of customers so that any difficulty wouldn't be faced by them.

Background ofMcDonald'sMcDonald's is the US based restaurant. It is operating through out the world and isregarded as one of the largest in the world. It initiated its business operations from the year 1940.At present the restaurant has total number of outlets of 37,855. This has the total number ofemployees of 210,000. Objectives: To study about the concept of Business environment within Wales. To identify the positive and negative impact of McDonald's on business environment ofWales.To identify different ways through which negative impact of multinational organisationcan be overcome easily. Questions:Do you aware from the concept of Business environment ?What is the major impact of McDonald's on the business environment of Wales ?Which ways are beneficial for overcoming the negative impact of multinationalorganisations ?P2 Project management planProject Management Plan is a formal and a approved document which states how theproject will be executed, monitored and controlled. In normal terms it is a detailed documentwhich includes all the baselines, time lines and other planning documents which helps theinvestigator to properly complete the project within the set time frame. It also defines the scopeand the objectives of the project. By effectively developing the project management plan itprovides guidelines to the project manager to properly conduct the research as well as reduce theerrors at the time of conducting the business activities. This helps in successful completion of theproject (Pieterse, 2015). Apart from this there are some important elements which the project

manager considers to complete the project successfully and attain the positive outcomes. Theseare described as follows- Cost- This is one of the most essential element that is to be considered by the projectmanager which assist in conducting of business activities in a effective manner. It states the totalamount required for completing the project. Project manager needs effective funds to performproject activities in a effective manner and attain the desirable results. In context to this projectmanager requires £100 for carry out this research in appropriate way and for completed thewhole project that s to expand McDonald's is £28,800Scope- This defines the overall purpose of the project in the market place. In context tothis project it will discusses how McDonald's will impact the business environment in Wales. . Inthis context there is a wider scope for the McDonald's as by analysing the total businessenvironment it will greatly serve the needs of their customers by providing the best services.Apart from this starting this new project will have a wider scope as it will be expanding itsbusiness operations and enhancing its profits and moreover carrying out this research will helpthe investigator to identify the impact of multinational corporations on the business environmentof host destinationTime- It is considered as an important element as organisation needs to offer services toits customers in a timely manner. In context to the specific project, researcher needs to makeappropriate plan to complete the project activities in a timely manner. It will took around 55 daysto complete the project activities. In order to complete the project it will require approximately 6months of time period. Quality- For executing the project it is the responsibility of the project manager toensure that new project start up provides enhanced services to the customers and enhances thegoodwill of the company and therefore reduces the impact of the business environment.(Falguera, 2012).Communication- It is an vital component as project manager needs to effectivelycommunicate with all its customers and employees to execute the project in a effective manner.Hence it is important for the investigator to use effective channels of communication tocommunicate such as online survey and questionnaire in collecting the appropriate informationwhereas in order to effectively complete the project it needs to effectively communicate with the

individuals in the form of oral communication, conducting online surveys so as to take decisionregarding globalising business operations. Risk- This element needs to effectively considered by the project manager whileexecuting the business activities. Their are various risk associated with the project such as thefinancial risk, technological risk, social risk and many others which needs to be carefullyconsidered. While carrying out the project researcher faced social and the technological risk andwhile executing the project activities investigator faced risk of timely completing the projectactivities and get information properly. Resources- For effectively completing the project, researcher needs adequate resourcessuch as manpower, finance, tools and technology in order to attain the desired outcomes.Sufficient amount of such resources helps in executing the project activities in a proper manner(Grimes, 2012). In order to complete the project activities investigator requires efficientmanpower and proper funds, tools and technology to perform project activities in a desirablemanner and for completing the research it requires effective manpower and proper finance toconduct research in a desirable manner. P3 Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frames and stagesWork break-down structure: It can be defined as the key project deliverable in whichall the functions of project are divided into manageable parts so that it can easily understand bythe employees who will perform that specific task. With the help of WBS, project managers willbe able in decomposing the project in different phases, packages and work deliverables. Thistactics will also enables the project managers to determine the cost which is related with task ormaterials etc. By using such structure, management of McDonald's will be able in estimatingdesired cost of material, Human resource or entire project. A well framed WBS will providehuge benefits to McDonald's in managing their business operations in an effective manner(Hirst,2015).
