Aim
• “To identify impact of information technology (IT) on Business
performance: A study on Tesco”
Objectives
• To understand available information technologies that use by Tesco.
• To understand impact of information technologies on Tesco's operations
• To suggest ways to improve operational efficiency by implementing IT
tools.

Project rationale
• In order to conduct research, I have developed my interest in this
sector. In this I have applied multiple strategies that assist in
improving the performance level in effective and efficient manner.
• In this way, this research will assist in developing my
comprehending and understanding skills. Further, this will lead to
my overall growth and development and I will be able to develop
my career in hospitality sector. Thus, I will get to know about the
implication of digital technologies in improving the efficiency of
business operations.

Summary of Quantitative data
• Both primary and secondary methods of data collection
used to conduct research .
• Random sampling is used for selection of sample size from
population.
• 10 employees at managerial level in Tesco are selected for
research.
• Thematic representation methods is used for data analysis
and interpretation.
