INTRODUCTION Equality at workplace can be defined as a system which is adopted by the organisation to promoting the opportunities for all through the diversity and giving each individual chance to achieve their potential free from discrimination. In relation to the current report The chosen organisation is Tesco. It is a British multinational retail organisation selling its product in retail industry. Tesco was founded by jack Cohan in 1919. The aim of this research report is to identify that how the company can respond to the current issue of equality and diversity in the workplace. This report is consisting of aims and objectives of the report according to the children scenario as well as description of management plan which cover aims and main deliverables within the report. A proper work breakdown structure and chart are also provided within the report. There is also a discussion on a small-scale research by applying the primary and secondary methods of data collection. In second task of this report there is use of tools and techniques for findings and some recommendation regarding the research report. In the end, there is reflection undertaking some objectives of own learning. MAIN BODY TASK1 Aims and objective of the project Research aim: "To identify that how the company will respond to the current issues of equality and Diversity at workplace" A case study of Tesco. Research objective: To determine the current issues related to equality and Diversity at workplace. To determine the strategies that can be used by the organisation to solve these issues related to equality and Diversity at workplace. Literature review The current issues related to equality and Diversity at workplace According to the viewpoint of(Hawkins, 2017),There are various factors which are related to the current issues of equality and Diversity at workplace. The major issue in relation to workplacediversity iscommunicationproblem.According toauthor, due todiversityat workplace there will be communication between employees because of different culture and background. this directly impact on the performance of the firm is reduced the productivity because of improper communication. Increase in conflict is also an issue which is faced by the organisation in relation to equality and Diversity. This is because organisational change policy according to requirement differences in culture and background of employees and trees conflict between them. Gender difference, changing working environment and many other are also factors and issues which are related to diversity and work place. The strategies that can be used by the organisation to solve these issues related to equality and Diversity at workplace According to the viewpoint of(Turk, 2016),There are various ways which can be adopted by the organisation in relation to solving the issues in the current environment and managing the functioning diversity. In relation to this, management staff within an organisation can adopt strict rules and regulations which help in managing issues. Organisation can also use help of cultural programs and better orientation programs which help in identifying equality is of different individuals and managing good relationships. Use of different policies related to equality and Diversity concept at workplace According to the viewpoint of(Sharma, 2016),There are different kind of strategies which can be used by the organisation to implement the policies related to solving the issues in organisation regarding equality and Diversity practices. According to author, first organisation can identify the available resources and the nature of workforce in which it is working. In relation to Tesco, it is performing its function at global level where organisation has to recruit different kind of employees related to different genders, culture background and other factors. Here, organisation can use policy where individual performance roles and responsibility but forming informal and formal groups and managing the work of each and every individual the coordinating with them.
