INTRODUCTION
Equality is an aspect that is related with treatment of employees with a sense of equal
behaviour to ensure that that there are no discriminatory practises that are practised on part of
organisation. The overall concept of equality and diversity is based on the belief that it is helpful
in achievement of respective goals of an organisation (Romani, Holck, Holgersson, and Muhr,
2017). Present report is based on Tesco that is a retail sector organisation having presence in UK.
There is discussion on how companies are responding to overall issues of equality, diversity and
gender pay gap (Equality & Diversity in the Workplace, 2017). The report consists of the aims
and objectives that have been prepared to understand various different concepts and primary and
secondary method have been applied for reaching to various outcomes.

Aims & objectives of the project
Project is regarded as the activities that have to be achieving some of the desired
outcomes. They are set for a specified period of time with a well defined budget.
Project management is used for planning & organisation of resource that are available
with a company and further application of knowledge, skills and methods so that overall gaols
can be achieved.
Title: “For determine strategies that can help in solving issues of related with equality &
diversity practises in an organisation.”
Aim of the report : “The main aim of this report is to make analysis of strategies that can
help Tesco in solving one of the major issue of equality & diversity that is gender pay gap A
study on Tesco.
Objectives of the report: The main objectives present report:
For development of a basic overview of concept of Gender pay gap a issue that is part of
Equality and diversity practises of a organisation
To highlight some of challenges faced because of gender pay gap in association with
equality & diversity
To determination of the ways in dealing with the overall issues arising because of
equality & diversity.

Project management plan
Project management plan regarded as the document that can be applied for defining of the
different phases that are part of a project, it consist of components such as planning, initiation,
monitoring etc it helps in having a structure so that various aspects such as cost, time,,
communication and scope can be understand the project management plan for Tesco is discussed
below:
Scope: It is related with the overall scope of project in relation with the diverse and equal
environment (Sang, and Powell, ., 2013). It is also helpful for objective of increasing the
viability of a particular project. This report will be helping in solving conflicts arising in
course of organisational functioning.
Organisational structure: organisation has to adopt functional structure is that their
overall function can be distinguished with more clarity (Vickers, 2017). In Tesco this
type of structure is used in the organisation.
Resources: there are a variety of resources that required for purpose of carrying on a
project. In present research report there can be applied such as financial resources, human
resource etc. That will be required for proper completing the of research work and
accomplishment of laid outcomes.
Costs: There are three types of cost control techniques that are used by researcher in this
report and it includes Budgeting (Wrench2016). Cash flow statement & the cost
breakdown structure that is used for controlling of cost by the researcher and optimum
utilisation of financial resources.

present research also there is risk such as limited availability of resources, shortage of

be used by the research in present report.

Work breakdown structure & a Gantt Chart
WBS can be regarded as a systematic approach that can be used by organisations so that
various deliverables can help in dividing the work to be more manageable task. The work has to
be done in such a has to be arranged in a hierarchy. It will help in defining the whole project into
smaller chunks in more manageable work. In the present research report there is below
mentioned chart that is side for dividing the task according to their requirement.

Gantt chart is a regarded as a chart that consist of list of various activities that are listed
according to the point in time phase that is assigned for purpose of achievement of the whole
project. There are basically two axis that is part of Gantt chart (Araten-Bergman, 2016). The
vertical axis consists of list of various activities and functions that have to be performed and the
horizontal axis consist of the time required and assigned by the researcher to different types of
activities and tasks. It will help in reduction of confusion for all the teammates that are involved
in the research work.
PERT CHART: Pert chart is basically used as a project management tool that is used for purpose
of graphical representation of the timeline of project. It helps in breaking down of individual
work of a project and further analysing it.
CRITICAL PATH: Critical path is basically used for determination of the time required for
conducting of various functions that are part of overall research plan for a organisation.
NETWORK DIAGRAM: network diagram is a visual representation related to the network
architecture related with the structure of a network that is represent the different symbols
and different line connections.
