INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is enhancing business size with rapid speed that leads management to
complete all operations and functions in an appropriate manner. There are various task
performed by management through implementing innovation in the organisation and to complete
all task and operations at international level large number of workforce is required. The
employee involvement is also used by management to perform operations and functions at
different places (Ryan, Ravenswood and Pringle, 2014). In the present scenario, there are various
task performed by management which leads organisation to implement equality and diversity
strategy at organisational premises. This report is written from perspective of Tesco that is
operating their business in retail industry and in present scenario, organisation undertake
experience of more than one century to operate it business. Moreover, the report highlights on
aims, objectives and project management plan. Work break down structure and Gantt chart will
also include in the report and in the last research methods are also focused in the report.
TASK 1
P1 Aims and objectives of project
With the increase in the business market area and globalisation implement to work at
different platforms it is identified that management is facing different challenges that is
impacting on organisational goals and objectives through providing similar platform to local and
international enterprise. The main motive of implementing diversity strategy is to promote
equality and diversity among workplace in order to retain skilled employees for longer period in
management.

Project A- The term project area refers to an effective set of activities that are implemented by
management in an organised manner. In order to obtain a specific outcome management of
Tesco perform its work according to decided steps. These results it is easy for organisation to
complete all task in a decided time period.
Project management- This refer to manage and complete project from the start to it finish
through utilising different process, skills, knowledge and experience that help to accomplish the
decided target.
Aim- In order to gain competitive advantage Tesco is focused to implement the strategy of
diversity and inclusiveness among workers that help organisation to gain competitive advantage
in market. A study report on Tesco.
Objective
To enhance awareness and knowledge related with diversity in Tesco.
To examine different factors that demonstrates overall efficiency of employees.
For identifying various benefits which is related with diversity strategy.
P2 Project management plan that include scope, cost, communication, time, quality, risk and

The term project management plan contains different detail that is related with different
phase of project. The main components of project management plan are planning, monitoring,
executing and controlling a business project for accomplishing desired results (Palacios, 2016).
Along with this project management play an essential role that assist Tesco to gain competitive
edge in world. Some aspects which show scope of project management plan are as follow:
Project management plan leads organisation to identify scope, budget and schedule from
early point of business.
All resources that are related with organisation aims and operations must be arranged in
effective manner.
Project management plan which undertake scope, resources, communication and other essential
aspect which are mention as follow:
Organisation structure- The organisation structure which is followed by organisation
consist of completing project according to decided time period in order to accomplish
company objectives in an appropriate manner. Tesco is following functional structure

for completion of organisational task with decided skills and abilities. It also team
members to accomplish company goals and target in decided time.
Scope- In context of project scope the nature to manage employee’s workforce is too
wide and it is also used by researcher for completing all work with decided manner. All
the data which is gathered must be arranged in an effective manner in order to gain
better results (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017). Moreover, researcher also requires different
method such as motivation for enhancing skills of team members in order to gain
meaningful outcomes.
Communication- For obtaining desired results project researcher is focused to
implement free flow of communication between team members. There are various
communication channel is required by individuals that leads group member project to
decide right set of action which leads to complete work in an open area. This refers
more number of respondents are focused for completion of research in an effective
manner through implementing an effective communication system.

Resources- In order to conduct research in an effective manner researcher and other team
members are focused in completion of work with an appropriate manner through
arranging resources such as Laptop, internet connection and papers for conducting
research in an appropriate manner (Neugebauer, 2014). Along with this printer is also
required by management for completion of research as per online source is used to gain
respond. So with printer data or information is also stored by investigator with hard copy.

Communication matrix- The tool of communication matrix work as an effective
assessment which is used for designing an effective communication structure that leads
team members to get better results from the operations that helps to implement right
communication system. This also results team members accomplish better results through
keeping right individuals in completion of research.
Cost- For growing the business in a competitive world it is identified that cost play an
important role for investigating and complete project according to decided objective. The
estimated amount of completing the research is £300. The specific amount which is
decided by investigator is used to manage expense related with travel, but of books and
printer as these resources are required by investigator for complete of project properly.
Time- The estimated time period for completion of project is of seven weeks in which
first three week are used by researcher in decided project aim and objective (Lusted,
2014). After that the another week relates with accomplish of project and complete of
research in decided time manner as time is most crucial aspect which leads for
completion of project as per deadline.
Quality- Most of data or information is collected by researcher through utilising primary
research methods. This is also used by investigator for completion of work according to
the qualitative approach that leads to gain positive aspect. Moreover, quality control chart
is also used by researcher which depicts results in the graphical form and it is also used
by team members to gain specific results (Kopmann and et. al., 2015).
Risk- The last point which is address by project management plan is to analyse risk
aspect that is impacting on project. Along with this there are various functions are
monitored which impact on results of information collected by investigator. The major
risk that is faced relates with identifying questions as respondent are less interested to
give response.
