TITLE:

inclusive and diverse workforce”. A study report on Tesco.
INTRODUCTION
According to the existing market conditions it is identified that most of the current
organisation are performing their work at global level. This also refers that most large business
houses are performing large number of operations and functions through engaging large number
of individuals which belongs to different background and culture. It is mandatory for each
organisation to generate or formulate effective equality and diversity policies at workplace to
frame right strategy for organisational operations and functions. This report is composed from
point view of Tesco which operates there business in retail industry (Al-Jenaibi, 2017). Tesco
operates large number of retail stores, supermarket and convenience shops among international
level. Moreover, this report highlights on objectives as well as aims of organisation. An effective
project management plan will also be included in this report for utilising all resources of
organisation accurately. In the last, Gantt structure and WBS will also be studied in research for
completing all tasks easily.
P1 Aims and objectives
The term globalisation generates a market among which local and international organisation
both are competing with each other. This determines that businesses are performing their work
beyond local boundaries so to reduce human resources expenses. Management prefer to work
with local force of employees due to which there is difference among workforce that is engage in
organisational work and operations. This also brings some challenges for organisation that
impacts on company operations (Bardach and Patashnik, 2019). So to retain employees
management projects and its task are mention as follow:
Project first- The term project refers to set of activities that are managed by an organisation
for performing all work in an organised manner. All projects are accomplished by team members
who are provided specific roles to perform task in specified time period through using existing
resources.

Project management- It is defined as the management that assist to complete the whole
projects through utilising skills, knowledge, techniques etc. for accomplishing the target within
decided time period.

To understand how the overall workforce is influence by management to examine

can help in gaining the project goals and objectives in an efficient manner. It is important that
data must be collected from reliable and accurate sources so that high quality of project can be
ensured thereby making the project highly effective.
P2 Project management plan
A project management plan is a written document in which details regarding the project as
to how will it be initiated, executed, monitored and controlled so that it can be completed on time
and help in achieving the desired objectives. This plan helps the researcher in determining the
deliverables of the project so that the essential components which are required in the completion
of project can be gathered and used effectively in order to achieve the desired objectives of
research project. Following are the essential components of project management plan so that the
project can b completed in a desired manner:
Cost: It is the most important component of a project as it helps in determining the budget
of project which will be required to conduct all the activities related to the project in an
efficient manner. This component help in setting aside appropriate amount of sum for
each and every activity that will be conducted during the project so that the aims of
project can be completed on time. The total cost required to complete this project is £100.

Risk: It is related with all the uncertain events which might occur during the project

important that these risks are determined in advance so that appropriate steps can be

Communication: It is related with establishing effective communication throughout the

2017) It is important that data must be collected from reliable and accurate sources so that high
quality of project can be ensured thereby making the project highly effective.
P3 WBS and Gantt chart
Gantt chart- The tool Gantt chart work as a bar which is utilised for making an illustration
about the schedule of a project. This is also used by management for defining the relationship
between different activities and work schedule process. It determines that Gantt chart is used by
management as well as project manager that show information about all task and phase of the
project. Moreover, it also show the manner by which each and every action of organisation and
there project is utilised.
Work break down structure- WBS is an effective tool for project management by which
an organisation divide its whole task into smaller components (Ferenczi, 2018). The main motive
to implement WBS in the organisation is to break down the project for execute it in simple
manner. This also helps companies for organising all project in adequate manner by assigning all
responsibilities into project. Moreover, with the use of work break down structure researches
identifies time, risk and cost that is utilised for completing the project in effective manner.

P4 Quantitative and qualitative approach to attain organisational objectives and goals
Qualitative approach- In an organisation investigator implement the qualitative approach
among their findings because it focus on quality work that helps to develop a meaningful
conclusion and information by using various mathematical figures.
Quantitative approach- The term quantitative approach refers to understand report with
the help of graphs, Pie chart, bar, diagram and so on (Gurung and Prater, 2017). This is majorly
concerned about implement those methods which attracts the research work to show relevant
information in effective manner.
In the context of Tesco both methods of research are adopted by organisation to identify right
findings. This also leads the company to increase there customer base through formulating
research in proper manner. It also helps that management are able to gain positive results from
selecting right research methods.
Primary data collection method- The primary method for collecting data is a time-
consuming and complex process that gathers information for organisation to complete all work
by collecting fresh data form respondents and market. Survey, Sampling, Questionnaire and
many more are some effective methods for organisation which leads company to identify right
results which generates accurate and authentic results from project.
Secondary data collection method- It is a simple process for data collection that is used
by company to work with informative data (Hajro, Gibson and Pudelko, 2017). This works and
makes a simple result because most of the data is already collected. The sources of secondary

organisation. There are different methods are also present that is used to complete research in
proper manner and most of them are utilised by management through implement secondary
methods for research. Books and journals are most effective method for secondary research and
on other side past data records stored in computer system is utilised by management for
managing research in appropriately.
From the perspective of Tesco primary data collection method is used by organisation for
accumulating information that is related with findings. Researchers must utilise fresh data for
completing all work according to future aspects (Ibarra and Kitsuse, 2017). Moreover, primary
