This report will discuss about aimsand objectives for implementing digital technology within the workplace of continentalconsulting limited. In addition to this, project management plan, WBS, Gantt chart. Small-Scaleresearch, tools and techniques will also used for analysing the data and in last report willincludes recommendations and reflection on the topics.TASK 1P1 Project aim and objectivesBackground of the research-Continental consulting Limited is a UK based firm whichprovide supports to the small and medium manufacturing organisation in re-engineering so thatthey can get achieve profitability and huge sustainability in the marketplace. It provides servicesin London and greater London. The firm was established eight years ago with procurement ofadvanced technologies, equipments, computers for facilitating the small and medium firms. Butdue to passage of time, rapid innovation and usage of latest equipments have outdated their 8years old equipments. Due to this, management of firm have felt that there is a requirement ofup-gradation of IT technologies so that capabilities can be enhanced and that will be beneficialfor the organisation in gaining competitive advantage over their rivals. Purpose of the research- According to the current situations of Continental Consultinglimited, It is highly required that they have to implement digital technology through takingsupport from their employees. CEO of organisation has decided to invest adequate funds formaking innovation in the business process so that they can compete their rivals in better manner.Aim: “Impact of Mobile technology supporting small business growth and innovation” Acase study on Continental Consulting Ltd.Main goal of this report is to determine the effectiveness of implementation of digitaltechnology in the business process of Continental Consulting Limited so that its pre-determinedgoals or objectives can be achieved in a given time-frame (Kodama, 2016). Research ObjectivesTo determine the concept of digital technology.To identifying the value of mobile technology in achievement of growth andsustainability of Continental Consulting Limited.To determining the relationship between mobile technology and growth of ContinentalConsulting Limited.Research Questions:Do you understand the concept of Mobile technology ?Is there any benefit gained by Continental Consulting limited in achieving growth ?How mobile technology is interrelated with the growth of Continental ConsultingLimited?P2 Project management plan with cost aspects, scope, time, quality and communication riskProject management plan is a type of formal document which contains the informationabout the activities performed, utilisation of resources, required human resources etc. so thatdetermined project can be completed in more effective manner. Some aspects arealso included in this formal document like scope, cost, quality resources etc. which are brieflydiscussed as under:Scope:Implementation of mobile technology always provides profitable outcomes to thecompany in the form of enhanced efficiencies and capabilities of the employees, maximisingsatisfaction of customers etc. As the managers of cited firm have formulated decisions foradopting mobile technology in their workplace which will be beneficial for them in gaining2
growth and competitive advantage in the marketplace. Therefore, such implementation will bebeneficial for the firm in enhancing their customer base and market share. On the other hand,Conducting research on impact of mobile technology in growth and sustainability of firm byresearcher it will be more useful for other small companies as well to gather information fromsuch research and gain maximum profitable outcome in near future. Hence, it can be said thatscope of implementation of mobile technology is very wide in nature. Cost:It is very important aspect because without it decisions which are made by themanagers of Continental Consulting Limited and that are related with mobile technology in thebusiness process can't possible. Therefore, it is very essential for the organisation to maintainappropriate funds for fulfilling this necessities they can use their reserves or taking supports fromthe investors. Whereas, researcher have also demanded an amount of 8000 pounds forcompleting the research programme (Kowalkowski, 2011). For this purpose, the managementshould formulate a budget in which all cost will be allocated on the basis of project. Forexample, cost of training and development programme will enhance the capabilities ofemployees which will be beneficial for minimising the wastage during the project activities. During executing project activities quality should be consideredby the managers of Continental consulting Limited so that project functions will be handled inproper manner. For enhancing quality of products and services, Managers of Continentalconsultancy Limited should provide effective training and learning programmes so that they willbe capable in providing quality services through using of mobile technology. When researcherwill use qualitative methods then research would be executed in an effective manner which willbe beneficial for getting valid conclusion at the end of research. Risk: It is uncertain in nature and always exist in all the business activities which canhinder the managers or researchers in achieving their expected outcomes within a preset time-frame. These risk can be determined in form of poor knowledge of staff members, inappropriatesupport from the employees, insufficiency of funds etc. Adoption of mobile technology includesa huge risk which can be tackled by the managers of Continental consulting limited throughperforming a research programme in advance for knowing the aspects that causes risk in projectmanagement. Through it, management will be able in formulating suitable plans and strategieswhich will be helpful for them in handling future risks in an effective manner (Webb, 2017).Communication: For getting mutual supports from the employees it is very essential forthe managers of Continental consulting limited to form an effective communication structure atthe workplace.
