Its potential customers includes small andmedium manufacturing companies located in and around London and Greater London. Theproject covers the aims and objectives of Continental Consulting Ltd. Regarding implementationof digital technology. In addition with this, project management plan, breakdown structure, Ganttchart, Small-scale research, tools and techniques used to analyse data are briefly discussed underthis report. Recommendation and Reflection upon undertakings are also made under this report.TASK 1P1 Project aim and objectivesContinental Consulting Ltd. is UK-based organisation which is engaged in supportingsmall and medium manufacturing companies to re-engineering their business process so toachieve high sustainability and profitability. It serves them in and around the London andGreater London. The company was established eight years ago with procurement of latestequipment, computer and IT facilitates but due to passage of time, rapid innovation in ITindustry makes their eight year ago equipments obsolete and outdated. For this purpose, themanagement felt requirement of upgrading the use of IT technologies so as to make enhance thecapabilities of organisation and maintain their competitiveness among their rivals. The presentproject is based on such up-gradation of IT technology that will be helpful for ContinentalConsulting Ltd. As per the current scenario of Continental Consulting Ltd., it is requirement of implementdigital technology with the taking support of its employees. The CEO of Continental ConsultingLtd. decide to invest money to bring innovation in their business process so as to compete withrivals in more effective and efficient manner.Aim: “Impact of mobile technology as digital technology to support small business inachieving growth and innovation-A case study on Continental Consulting Ltd.”.The primary goal of the examination report is to identify the effectiveness ofimplementation of mobile technology in business process of small and medium sizedorganisation such as Continental Consulting Ltd. to achieve its desired goals and objectives.Research ObjectivesTo identify the concept of mobile technology in regards of Continental Consulting Ltd.To identify the importance of mobile technology in achieving growth and innovation. Some other aspects included in such formal documentare Scope, Cost, Time, Quality, Risk etc. which are briefly described under the below:Scope: Implementation of digital technology always brings maximum profitable result tocompany in terms of enhancing efficiency level of employees, maximising satisfaction level ofcustomers, maximum return to investors on their investment etc. AsContinental Consulting Ltd.Make decision regarding adoption o mobile technology which facilitates them to attract targetedclients through communicating them about their new and innovative products and services that2
will be useful to achieve growth and success. Therefore, such implementation enableorganisation to achieve huge customer base and establish a better relation with them for longerperiod of time. Thus, the scope of implementation of mobile technology is much wider.Cost: It is very crucial factor without which the decisions made by management ofContinental Consulting Ltd. regarding implementation of mobile technology in business processcannot be possible. Therefore, it is more important for company to maintain appropriate amountof funds which can be possible either through taking support from investors or reserve funds. Forthis purpose, the management should prepare budget in which cost must be allocated on theactivities on the basis of their impact (Davies and Hughes, 2014). For example, incurring cost onproviding training and development programs increases the capabilities of employees tominimises the wastage of cost while performing project activities. It happens through receiving standardquality of work by the employees which can be possible through providing them training andlearning programs to make them more capable to work on using mobile technology.Risk: It always exist in all business activities which can hinder management to achieve itsdesired outcomes within pre-determined time period. Such risk may include poor knowledge,lack of an appropriate support of employees, insufficient resources etc. Implementation ofmobile technology involves huge risk which can be tackled by the management of ContinentalConsulting Ltd. through conducting research about the aspects that causes risk in advance. Itenable management to make suitable plans and strategies in advance so as to deal with futurecontingencies in more effective way (Heger and Rohrbeck, 2012).Communication: Mutual support received by employees can be possible only when themanagement of Continental Consulting Ltd. are able to establish a good communication channelat workplace. The employees feels motivated when they clearly understand the company mainobjective behind implementation of mobile technology along with their roles and responsibilitiestherefore it is more important for management to bring transparency in communication andprovide a platform for employees to communicate with top authority directly. This will makepositive impact on the execution of project activities of Continental Consulting Ltd.Resources: It is basic requirement which motivate management of ContinentalConsulting Ltd. to decide to implement some technology changes in their business process.Having sufficient amount of resources such as capitals, funds, skilled employees etc. encouragescompany to work on execution of their innovative decisions. Therefore, the management ofContinental Consulting Ltd.
