In this regards, building a diverse and inclusive workforce is also crucial as it help in improving employees performance at workplace. As inclusive workforce is considered as a working environment that values workers and also hear abilities of every employees. With the help of this, company can increase talent selection within their working environment. Along with this, diverse workforce is refers to the similarities and difference among employees on the basis of age, race, cultural background, gender and sexual orientation. Thus, it is important for company to develop diverse and inclusive workforce to improve their performance. Current report is based on Nike, is an American multinational company operate their business in over the world and also engaged in the design, development, marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipments, services and accessories. This project is going to discusses about research methods in order to meet project aims and objectives in an effective manner. P4 Small scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods appropriate for meeting project aims and objectives Research methodology play a crucial role in carry out an effective study in which researcher have various options or methods for developing their research more effective and relevant. With the use of all these methods, investigator gather valid and reliable information that help in obtaining true and authentic outcomes at the end of research (DeCenzo, Robbins and Verhulst, 2016). In this regards, there are some main methods which used by investigator in undertaking study. All these are as follows: Primary research:It is consider as an in-depth investigation that is based on facts and actual data collect by investigator through first hand data. It includes various sources such as questionnaire, surveys, interviews and many more. All these are the way by which researcher gather relevant data and information. In addition of this, primary research is time consuming and at the same time also required more money for undertaking the research. This ca be effective and also used in academic and business as well. 1
Secondary research:This type of method is also effective for collecting data though past and existing data. It can be gathered by different sources such as magazines, internet, public libraries, newspaper, books and many more. It is less time consuming as compare to primary method and also requires less money. By using this, researcher can easily gather relevant data on the basis of research topic and area a as well. For undertaking this research, investigator will use both methods. Primary method of data collection used to prepare a questionnaire that consist various questions asked from selected 50 respondents. On the other side, secondary method help in collecting data from books, journals, articles and many more. Both methods are easy to gather information and at the same time also help in determining the actual nature of research. This will aid in attaining positive and reliable outcomes at the end of the study. Qualitativeresearch:It isrelatedto the marketresearch methodthat support in collecting the non numerical information. By using this, researcher understand the actual reason and opinions of people (Honeyman and Jana, 2019). Mainly, it is based on human behaviour towards a specified situation. It includes various methods to collect data such as observation, group discussions and many more. Along with this, researcher asked open ended questions from selected respondents in a semi structured manner that support in understanding their actual behaviour. Quantitative research:I is considered as a systematic way of gathering information in statistical manner in which researcher gather numerical data towards the research topic. Mainly, this type of method used when sample size is large (Wheeler, 2017). In this, data will be collected through various methods such as correlation research, online surveys, sampling methods, online polls and many more. Along with this, information is collected in highly structures way to attain positive outcomes. For undertaking current research, investigator will use qualitative research method as it is based on the human perception towards the specified topic and area as well. One of the main reason behind selecting this method is that it provide in-depth analysis which may aid in attaining proper finding within the research and make it more successful.
