productivity and performance of an organisation”. A case study on
TESCO.
INTRODUCTION
Talent management is defined as a systematic and effective procedure to attract talent for
vacant job position, hiring the right candidate, developing skills and knowledge of a person so
that organisational objectives is attained on time period. In simple terms, it is basically a process
of effective planning, attracting, choosing deploying, retaining as well as transitioning of staff
members to achieve vison of a company (Polonsky and Waller, 2018). In order to conduct
research on given topic, TESCO is taken into consideration. It is a multinational grocery and
retailer that was established in year 1919. The head office of company is located in London,
United and at present it offer product as well as service in more than 14 countries globally. The
main aim of conducting this investigation is to identify the influence of talent management on
business performance and productivity of an organisation.
The present repot is based on various tasks that involves development of research aims and
objectives, primary and secondary method, data analysis & interpretation. In addition to this,
some recommendations is given that will assist respective organisation to improve business
performance. In the last, reflection is developed on the basis of experience as well as learning
developed by conducting this research appropriately.

To analyse challenges faced by higher authorities of TESCO while execution of talent
management in organisation.
To ascertain various ways by which TESCO can resolve issue of talent management.

P2 & M1 Develop a project management plan that includes aims & deliverables, time,
communication, quality, risk & resources
Project management plan is defined as a series of activities which is effective and helpful
for carrying out all the activities of present investigation properly. It consist of proper structure
which is significant in order to complete investigation in a timely and proper manner. The
various components of PMP is given below:
Cost: It is defined as the overall cost that is needed to conduct all the activities by the
investigator. For the present research, $250 will be required to successfully and effectively
complete the project.
Scope: It is significant for the investigator to first identify the scope of investigation as it
will assist in analysing the influence of talent management on business productivity and
performance (Rowden, 2017). With the help of this, investigator will be able to know about the
concept of talent and what is its role in enhancing performance of an organisation.
Time: It is consider as one of the important element that assist in attaining aim and
objective of research. It is significant for researcher to schedule time of every activity by
considering each activities so that it can complete on time period. For this, Gantt chart is
developed that involve activities along with the starting time and ending time as well.

Quality: It is significant for investigator to maintain quality within the investigation. In the
present research, the data as well as information is collecting by using different sources as it will
assist in developing valid and reliable conclusion without neglecting the quality.
Risk: It is analysed that there are different forms of risk that take place at the time of
completion of investigation, It is important to determine and identify all set of risk so that an
effective strategy were developed before any of the risk is arise (Halibozek and Kovacich, 2017).
The risk which is associated with the present investigation consist of lack of funds, time and
resources as well.
Communication: Another important element of project management plan is
communication that help in collecting information effectively and properly. In the present
investigation, researcher required to communicate to people for collecting information about a
particular topic. It will help in gaining valid and reliable conclusion in a proper manner.
Resources: It is important for investigator to make use of resources in an optimal and right
manner as it will assist in achieving objectives on time period. In addition to this, it will also
assist in making use of tools as well as techniques effectively that arise less cost and time to the
investigator.

Work break down structure: It is define as one of the key deliverables of research which
assist in managing and organising all the activities of project in an effective and proper manner.
It is an important method that help in dividing the whole task into smaller pieces that is easy to

Gantt chart: It is defined as a time management tool, which is used by researcher in
order to schedule the starting and ending time of activities in a proper manner. In addition to this,
it is a bar chart that is in the horizontal form in order to show activities in a proper manner. It
involve factors such as activities, starting time, ending time, milestones and many more.
Moreover, it is undertaken as a popular and effective way that display activities along with the
time period.
