offering food, lodging, transportation and other similar services. Hotel
companies are now upgrading their services with the advent of technology to
have a fair mix between civilization to innovation to serve their needs well.

Hospitality industry - It is the broad category of service industry which includes lodging, food and
beverage service, parking, event planning and travel and tourism, etc. Managers of Hilton Hotel
implement this to attract their customers through various services offered by the company to make
guest enjoy luxurious and comfortable livelihood.
Accommodation services - This is defined as the provision of a fee for sheltered persons in
appropriately equipped rooms that consists of bed, main service of tourists, travellers and lodgers.
Managers of Hilton Hotel focus on providing room services where the customers are chargeable on
their stay for relaxation.

Luxury - The managers of Hilton Hotel mainly focus on providing luxury to their guest by
facilitating them with good amenities and atmosphere to survive for comfortable livelihood.
Mid-range - The managers of Hilton Hotel provides mid-market with fewer pricing strategy
and segments their hotel straddling into two, three, four and five-star properties as resorts,
boutiques and havelis.
Partnership - It is the enterprise where two or more business owners collectively perform
their actions by sharing profit and loss. Managers of Hilton Hotel are beneficial as they
focus on travel and tourism agencies for ease of their customers to migrate from one place
to another (Cooper, 2015).

In hospitality industry, all activities are managed by individuals by allocating their roles and
responsibilities that helps to perform well. In Hotel Hilton the form of ownership are as
defined:
Independently owned properties – This means when all activities and functions are
managed by single person and individual independently. Hilton Hotel can use this
ownership by managing all performance.
Management contracts – When a contracts is given to other person for running their
organization by managing activities is involved in this. Hotel Hilton can use management
contracts ownership by getting authorities and responsibilities of managing performance.
Franchises – This is another form of ownership where a person can get franchise to run
existing organization at another place that helps to improve the brand image and
popularity.

Classification system:- This is also known as Linnaean system which uses
hierarchical model. It is the process to classify a broad category into various
segments of single species. This procedure attracts customers through various
digital and technological trends, themed and concepts hotel for event
planning, etc.
Review sites:- It is a website on which the trip advisor perform its action
through changing their traditional view to modern view by converting their
techniques through latest electronic media. This focus on moving traditional
accommodation provision to latest and renew it by restructuring with beautiful
interior designing and good facilities to breath pleasantly. The online review
system help customer to acknowledge their hotel in advance and analyse
structure and amenities that will be provided to enjoy and relax (Evans, 2016).

Front office functions
In every organization front office is consider as main department which helps to attracts passengers who comes
at first time, this department is important to solve the queries of their clients and people and provide them
right information regarding rooms. In hotel Hilton, front office manager are responsible to greeting and
welcome their customers, provide them information and checking the availability of rooms. The functions
of such department in Hilton are as defined:
Greeting and welcoming – This function is required to welcoming and greeting the people which is done at
front office and helps to attracts them. Such manager are responsible for giving proper response and
greeting to comers.
Reception – This function is uses to keep records of all comers and check the availability of room that can
helps to provide right information to customers.

In Hotel Hilton, front office department is managed by many people who are playing
different types of role and responsibilities that are as explained below:
Reservations – This is main function of front office where front manager are performing a
role of front office manager by reservation the clients and giving them information
(Gibson and Parkman, 2018).
Reception- Whenever people goes to anywhere reception department is important that
understand the query of customers and solve their problems. In Hotel Hilton, managers
is playing a role of reception manager who provide all information to people and check
the availability of rooms. They also keep records of all customers and people who come
at there.
A Guest service – In Hilton hotel, the role of manager is guest service manager who
understand what their guest wants and how they can be satisfied in order to manage all
activities.

such reception, cashier, reservation, food and beverage etc. that all are important
