Key Systems and Processes
a. Supply Chain: The supply chain function for a business is important and the same
systematically helps the management to reach out to more and more customers so that
the reach of the business can be extended. The policy of the business is to deliver
products on the basis of orders received. The sales team of AC Gilbert aims to
promote the sales and receive orders from customers while the distribution team
arranges for the transport of products to the customers or retailers from the
warehouse. The supply chain which is followed by the business is efficient and
thereby can assist the business to generate more revenue in long run.
b. Operational System: The operational process of the business is devised considering
the long terms goals and objectives of the business. The management of the company
focuses on reducing the costs of operations and systematically enhance advertisement
costs so that the products and activities of the business are appropriately promoted. In
addition to this, the management of the company is also formulating appropriate
policies to ensure that the business is able to survive in the market. The operational
process of the business needs to be much more efficient so that more production can
be made and overall sales can be increased for the company. The overall review of the
operational process is the responsibility of the senior management of the company and
all necessary steps are taken in order to achieve this target.
c. Product/Service Delivery: The production department of AC Gilbert only focuses on
manufacture of toys and once the process is completed the toys are transferred to the
care of the distribution unit. The business distributes toys in two manners which is
either to the customers directly or to the retailers. The product and service delivery
forms an important function which is carried out by sales and distribution department

in collaboration and they are also responsible for appropriate promotion of the
products. In addition to this, the management of the company focuses on efficient
customer services so that a favourable reputation of the business can be built.
Operational Measures of Performance
The operational process of AC Gilbert can be reviewed effectively with the help of
different parameters. Some of these parameters are incidental to the production and sales
process and some of the same are explained below in details:
KRAs: The key result areas for a business is considered to be important as the same
assists the senior officials to measure the performance in terms of quality of the
products, cost per products, raw material consumed. The Key results areas for the
business includes the efficiency level of the employees which is crucial factor for the
sales department. If the workers are efficient than the sales process can be conducted
in a smooth manner. The management of AC Gilbert can enhance the efficiency level
of the employee by initiating a proper training program for the employees.
KPIs: The key performance indicators are estimates which helps a business determine
if the current level of performance of the business is appropriate or not. The common
KPIs which can be identified are profits, increase in the sales volume of the company,
ease of availability of financing sources. In addition to this, the success of the
business in the market and also the brand name in the market can also be covered
under KPIs for a business.
Financial Performance of the Business: In order to assess the financial performance
of a business, the management of the company can consider different estimates such
as profit, share value of the company, returns on investments. The management can
compute some key financial ratios which are important to assess the financial position
of the business and also assess different areas of performance of the business.
