Introduction
Health and social sectors required special attention with respect to HR sector as they wanted
professionals in the sector. This assignment focused on the training to provide the
finesttechnique to employ the working supervise for London Nursing Home. This study
provides the mechanism for hiring suitable member of staff for the London nursing home. All
the frameworks and legalities are taken into account which London Nursing Home required
during recruitment procedure. It further, informs the best way to the growth of effective and
best working team within London Nursing Home. It also includes the training and
engagement of working members to retain them informed about the requirements of the
London Nursing Home and provide all the required sections for developing employees as per
the requirement and needs of Nursing Home. It gives conclusion with the assessment of the
HR styles such as leadership style etc. That shall be suited to the leader in the London
Nursing Home.

Task 1
1.1 Explain the factors that need to be considered when planning the recruitment of
individuals to work at London Nursing Home
Recruiting the perfect candidates for the job in the health sector can be considered as one of
the crucial factors. Following are some of the aspects which can be taken into consideration
while searching for the suitable candidates for London Nursing home:
For the succession planning various things has to be evaluated like what will be the
position of the employee in the organization, how many vacancies are there, whether
the organization requires a part-time or full-time job, applicants (Leigh & Blakely,
2016).
The organization is required to set some type of standards based on their goals and
policies so that the best candidate can be picked out who will be willing to work as
per the company norms.
Some legal guidelines that are set by the local government authority should not be
violated like the safety guidelines for workers, working hours of a worker, health
policies etc.
Before starting the recruitment process, the final expenditure like the cost of
recruitment, the cost of training and developing their skills should be calculated
beforehand for making the selection process transparent financially.
The HR should prepare a job description which will include the roles and
responsibilities of the candidates after joining the institution and also the details about
the qualifications and experience and also personal attributes that are required by the
organization.
In the end, a job specification is to be prepared which will contain all the abilities, the
skills possessed by the candidate and the knowledge that will be required for a
specific vacant post.
Progression opportunities factors discussed here are important in the recruitment
process for an organization which will help the organization to select the best
available talent and recruits best candidates for the job. These are the important needs
for training and development purpose for the organization (Vermeeren, et. al., 2014,
pp. 35).

Every selection process has to go through some legal guidelines. This guideline plays a
crucial part and affects the selection process hugely. These set of guidelines are made so that
the rights of a worker can be protected and the worker can't face biases or harassment in the
workplace. London nursing Home follows the guidelines set by the United Kingdom as these
guidelines are made by the local government of the country where the organization is
established. For making the procedure of selection and recruitment of the candidates fair for
everyone, different kind of rules and regulations are laid down by the government.
Employment policy and legislation employment act 2002 includes all the rights for workers
that follow in the London nursing home like regulations for dispute at the workplace, equal
rights for payment, guidelines for leaves, policies for employment is considered as one of the
crucial legal policy for organizations in the UK. These rights influence recruitment like the
selected employee feel flexible environment in the workplace and also know right there
rights. These rights attract the recruitment by the organization legal policies and rights.
The act of 2004 demand that all the employees of the health care department must get equal
opportunity in the field of training, skill development, working hours and leaves. In the
organization that influences the recruitment and the working staff because by the right they
get equal opportunities and rights.
Equality Act of 2010 include terms like making all the employees equal irrespective of their
age, gender, race, creed, faith, sexual orientation, and inabilities.The direct, indirect and
victimization in the workplace is protected by the sex discriminationact of 1975. By these
actions, the employee gets equal rights without judging their gender these guidelines help to
take action if they need if they see something wrong with them and other also. The act that
makes the workers get equal payments for irrespective of sex and post is included in the
Equal pay act. In the past year's many acts have been developed like Disability discrimination
act 1995, Race discrimination act 1992 and Data Protection Act 1998 which protects the
rights of the workers while managing to keep the workplace ethical. These acts are very
crucial for an organization in every sector so that all workers can work in harmony and can
attain equal rights among themselves (Collins, 2016, pp. 65-75).
