Executive Summary
Innovation can be said as a creative thought, new idea, new imaginations which can be applied in
device or methods. This project report will talk about TransPerfect company which is basically a
translation service provider company which provide services like language translation,
interpretation , legal service solution, machine translation, engineering solutions and services,
forensic data acquisitions, discovery of multilingual papers etc. This company grew from 2
persons to one of the largest company. In 1998 their sales were $10 million and they began to
expand internationally. In 1999 both the founders of the company established separately a
completely new technology division and started to provide their services to the companies who
used only digital context. This report covers innovations done by TransPerfect Company, they
are also working on a global language translator as number of English speaking users are
continuously increasing across the world which has over shadowed other languages. With the
help of a global language translator any amount of digital content can be translated in any other
language in a very short amount of time. This report will also cover that TransPerfect are
working on expanding E-Clinical technology for future use like for example. Today ECG reports
are given on paper which is time consuming and waste of paper so they are working on it so that
these results can be given in pen-drive or CD or can be even transferred in cloud storage.

INTRODUCTION
This project report will talk about TransPerfect company which is basically a translation
service provider company which provide services like language translation, interpretation , legal
service solution, machine translation, engineering solutions and services, forensic data
acquisitions, discovery of multilingual papers etc. it is one of the largest language translation
service provider in the world. In this report we will describe in brief about the organization and
its history of innovation i.e. what the company has done till now. Then we will also lay emphasis
on the existing innovation company is working on and what are its capabilities it held in the
future in this we will describe all the innovation the organization has done till now and what are
its uses and at last we will explain the industry in 2016 i.e. we will explain what are the
innovations that can be done in future or what is the scope of the company in the future.

The Organisation and its Innovation History
Here TransPerfect will be taken as an organization and its history and innovations will be
iscussed.TransPerfect, is world's largest company to provide translations services i.e. technology
and language solutions to global business mainly to companies in healthcare or legal field with
offices in more than 90 cities across the globe founded in 1992. TransPefect launching vision
was to provide language service with the highest quality through a business model which was
completely client focused. This company grew from 2 persons to one of the largest company. In
1998 their sales were $10 million and they began to expand internationally(Nicholls., 2018). In
1999 both the founders of the company established separately a completely new technology
division and started to provide their services to the companies who used only digital context.
They launched a website with domain name translation.com for $75,000 to meet website and
software translations demand. Initially they used to provide live translation services, their
revenues were $50 million that year . In 2003 they tried to bridged the gap between computer
aided translation and human translation. To do so they acquired a technology called wordfast.
Wordfast was a memory translation software which was completely platform independent and
because of this their revenue grew to approximately $65 million in 2005. The firm continued to
do innovations and making key acquisitions. They also acquired a language service called
crimson and many other translation companies in industry which were highly-regulated. They
were also awarded by top diversity owned business in 2006. In 2012 they entered E-Discovery

business by acquiring Digital Reef. In 2013 by acquiring Vasont Systems which was a
component content management system which helps any company to publish multi language
product manuals,technical documents or any other information(Santos, Pache and Birkholz.,
2015). This company has always focused on quality and because of it, their company was a
natural choice for many science oriented industries. They have entered in many diversified areas
in world of science and became leading E-clinical technologies, pharmacovigilance,
comprehensive solution developer and commercialization. Today they have more than 4600
employees across the world and is also one of the leading industry which support global
development and launch products, medicines and to improve medical care across the globe they
designed therapies to improve quality in medical world. As their company grew they understood
the fact that client attention was the major factor for growing and earning trust of world's top
law firms and corporations. So they formed a Transpresect legal solutions which provided other
top companies end to end legal services' ans support including language service for which it was
already best known(Batkovskiy and et.al., 2016). This also helped them to grow and launch new
offerings like E-Discovery, forensic data acquisitions, discovery and production of multilingual
papers, staffing, managing reviews and at last court reporting. They provided large pool of
network resources with proven success in problem solving, engineering solutions, legal support
service delivering that any client can trust throughout the world or anywhere in the world.
The Organizations Existing Innovation Performance And Capabilities
In present TransPerfect provide information right security in which they protect clients
data wherever they go by providing intelligent document protection technology, enterprise
content control in which they provide hybrid technical solutions with premise security, transport
project management by translating clients translation projects in a better way or in an easy to use
platform and at last they provide data centre solutions in which they provide uninterrupted secure
access to data and many more things(Aithal and Aithal., 2016). They are also working on a
global language translator as number of English speaking users are continuously increasing
across the world which has over shadowed other languages. With the help of a global language
translator any amount of digital content can be translated in any other language in a very short
amount of time. This ongoing translation technology has evolved unpredictable gains with
respect to consistency, productivity, greater global language coverage and is providing greater
support in improving international communication and distribution. Computer aided translation

tools are also being developed as one of them is known 'wordfast' this software provides an
independent platform which translates any given language in many languages additionally this
software also provide and integrated additional software which manage to translate any
terminology into a particulate format. Recently company has been working on many
software and applications such as translation memory- it is basically a kind of database which
stores all the translations done by company and has been completed. All the translations are
broken down into language segments like phrases, headings, paragraph or sentences. Based of
this database, system suggests translation for recognizable sentences, paragraph, words or
phrases in new report or document(Damanpour, Sanchez‐Henriquez and Chiu., 2018). This helps
in increasing speed, consistency and save time. They are also working on building a bilingual
dictionary that is specially build for translations and for the clients who want to learn new
language. In this type of systems it a client enters one word in the system then multiple
explanation are given to them with various examples. This helps them to understand how that
word operates in that given language. Client can even enter different phrases and see how they
are translated in different languages and used in different languages with various examples.
TransPerfect is recently working on strengthening Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
Recently it has also acquired a language technology company Tauyou and its founder was given
a post of director of Artificial intelligence team for leadership. They are combining their passion
for languages with deep knowledge in technical field in Artificial Intelligence to expand use of
machine translations in their industry(Gureva and et.al., 2016). They are also trying to develop
many applications of artificial intelligence and usage of machine learning to images and speech.
In short they are working in developing AI solutions and their applications in this continuously
increasing technological world. In the AI solutions Transperfect they have included secure portal
of AI for documents and texts, machine translation applications specially designed for industry
use,predictive typing for content creation or for translation of any language and neutral language
generation. They have also worked on a software called Global English which is basically an
evidence based writing technology which eliminates all the writing problems in English by
reducing ambiguity and increasing content clarity. This technology not only provide client with
better quality content translated but it also benefits all the non English reader to easily
understand and visualize and the read the content properly(Gaziulusoy., 2015).

This Global English is used in various technical communications and in international
business for content strategy. Now company is thinking of linking Global English with cross-
culture communications. This innovation in translation of languages has helped to reduce the
cost of translation and helps to focus on complex task made easy. Nowadays they are working on
translation application which translates not only text but also images, street signs or speech.
They are also trying to develop these applications or software so that they can work offline also
so that these soft wares can work in areas where there is limited connectivity. Company is also
working on a limitation which these language translators have i.e. they might be correct in
English but when translated in other language they become more and more grammatically
awkward or we can say that it is definitely not the type of translation that is required. So they are
working on this issue so that if any sentence or phrase is translated they are automatically
corrected according to that particular language that phrase is translated in, So that they are
grammatically correct and are correctly used i.e. they do not have any errors and translated
correctly weather is a speech translator or an image translator or a phrase or sentence translator.
The Industry In 2016
TransPerfect in future is thinking of expanding in Artificial Intelligence and E-Clinical
areas. For example travel sites nowadays are available only in English by TransPerfect are
working on it so that these travel sites in future can be translated in any language anywhere.
They are also working on expanding E-Clinical technology for future use like for example.
Today ECG reports are given on paper which is time consuming and waste of paper so they are
working on it so that these results can be given in pen-drive or CD or can be even transferred in
cloud storage. So maybe till 2020 they will come up with the technology like these. TransPerfect
are also trying to work on combining AI language translator to E-Clinical technology. In future
they can work on building a software which can translate any patient information and take
suggestions from another person sitting at one place(Bell and et.al., 2016). In future Artificial
Intelligence translators will also replace human professional in medical field because in present
medical field cannot completely depend upon translator but in future it might be possible for AI
translators to replace all the human work in medical field. Company is also working on software
which can give all the details of a patients illness just by entering the symptoms of the patient
maybe it is possible in future to get treatment on a patient's illness just by E- clinical translators.
They are also working on translating and video or television programs in a required language in

present we can only watch a program in language which it is present while in future people will
be able to see a program in whichever language the want it to play with (Managing Innovation in
Business, 2018). They can also work on emotion sensers through which anything can be
monitored, mobile automation can also be done, some people like talking to computer so
wellness counselling can be done through which anyone can talk and get some counselling from
computers, reality mining can also be done in which patients data can be used to influence their
health behaviour and give advices.
CONCLUSION
In this report it can be summarized that TransPerfect had been providing various services
to its clients like language translation, machine translation, interpretation, engineering solutions
and services, discovery and production of multilingual papers or documents etc. This company
had done many innovations in past to provide all these services and they had also acquired many
software's to work on all these innovations, they are working on many things to provide
innovative things to its customers, it has also been explained that there are many capabilities
which can help company in the future. At last it had also been explained that what all innovations
TransPerfect can do in future to provide better results to its clients.
