INTRODUCTION
For every person it is essential to conduct self management because through that they can
conduct their work in effective and appropriate manner. This will also help them in enhancing
their skills, abilities and knowledge through which they can conduct work properly. Along with
this it is also essential to conduct management of others as that will lead to accomplishment of
work properly for the attainment of team goal successfully (Bordalo and et. al.., 2019). The main
aim of conducting this report is to understand concept of managing self and other. Topics include

skills as that will help them in conducting work in effective manner. For this it is essential for
them to develop proper strategies accordingly. Below some skills and its development strategies
are given which I need to adopt:-
Lifelong learning styles and strategies – It is one of the main skill which is required in
every individual, according to this a person must have desire to learn new things as that
will help them in attaining their goal effectively (Brechin and et. al., 2020). Similarly it is
essential for me to enhance my lifelong learning style and strategies because through I
will encourage learning new things or aspects. In respect of this I can adopt different
models such as Kolbs learning style, Honey and Mumford, Neil Fleming style and many
more. I adopt Kolb’s learning style which is developed by David Kolb in year 1984 and
according to them there are several learning style such as diverging which is related to
learning through the feeling and watching activities. Another learning style is
assimilating that is based on the learning done through watching and thinking whereas
another style if converging in which learning through conducting things as well as
thinking. In this last learning style is accommodating in which a person learn through

doing and feeling things. So for me it is essential to understand all these aspects so that I
can learn things in effective as well as proper manner.
Motivation and goals – It is essential for a person to conduct activities so that they can
enhance their motivation for attaining goal in successful manner. For this an individual
can adopt different strategies (Bryant, 2019). Same if I want to enhance these skills I also
need to develop some related strategies such as conduct training under professional so by
observing them I can increase my motivation level. Along with this, it will also help me
in encouraging myself to attain desire goal in successful manner.
Teamwork – For the personal and professional develop team working skills is necessary
because in life there are many situations occur in which a person needs to conduct work

strategies for improving this skill in effective manner. So I also need to develop team
working skill because that will help me in enhancing me team working skill through that
I can conduct work effectively in team as well as that will also encourage me to

Knowledge Management – By adopting this skill a person can enhance their knowledge
and skill as well as that will also help them in using that knowledge in proper time. By
having proper knowledge management skill a person can build their career in successful
as well as impressive manner. So for me it is essential to develop skills related to
knowledge management because through that I can accomplish my work in effective
manner as well as it will also minimize error in my work. Along with this, by having
knowledge management skill I can attain my desire goal in given time duration because I

Learning culture and styles – It refers to skill according to which a person must have

essential to develop leaning culture and style because through that I can conduct get

also essential for me to develop and maintain stress management as that will help me in
performing effectively. This will also help me in avoiding situation which leads to stress,
depression, anxiety and many others.
Motivation at the work: By motivating a person one can attain desire objective in
successful manner. So it is essential at university and company to motivate their members
so that they always encourage to study and work respectively effectively. This is so I also
need to develop motivation skills in me because that will help and encourage conducting
my work in effective manner which lead to attainment of goal successfully. In order to
develop this skills I can attain training of some professional as well as I can also attain
workshop related to motivation.
Develop skill related to conflict management: It is one of the main skills which every
person must need to have because through it they can avoid conflict situation at the
workplace (Polman and Wu, 2019). This will help in developing as well as maintaining
effectiveness and positivity at the workplace. So by enhancing this skill related to the
conflict management I will be able to develop and maintain positive working condition at
the workplace as well as it also help in building effective relationships with all other
members. In order to enhance this skill I can conduct training session with professional or
senior as well as I can also observe other and understand how they handle situation
related to conflict.
