Create your own individual PDP that shows evidence of your development achieved in the past
12 months and applies your planned development for the next 12 months
Personal Development Plan can be defined as a statement or a blueprint that reflects upon the
goals and objectives that an individual wants to attain within a set duration of time. PDP also
depicts the plan of action as well as the resources that will be taken under utilization for the
successful attainment of the determined goals (Veronica, Purwanta and Astuti, 2020). It is an
advance concept that can lead career progression as well as individual growth in a significant
way.
PDP can be characterized as a detailed outlook of leading growth and development within one’s
every life. It facilitates clarity of vision and focus to the individuals and allows them to stay
directed towards their goals despite any distractions and interruptions. Along with this Personal
Development is an approach that keeps an individual motivated and glued to their dreams and
anticipated outcomes in the near future (Trăistaru, 2020). It can be said the personal development
plan increases the self awareness and facilitates self introspection within an individual. It in a
way enhanced an individual’s self knowledge and understanding about oneself and caters
opportunities for growth to the same.
