INTRODUCTION
A project management plan is approved document that set how project is executed,
controlled and monitored (Heldman, 2018). Premier Inn is the UK largest hotel brand, located in
Dunstable, UK. Organization establishes good brand image. They also provides 24/7 Wi-Fi
service to their customers. The report includes a project management planning that is project
aim, objective with research theme. Along with this the report will highlight the key stages of
project life cycle and their importance to success of project. The report will also examine factors
that considered when compiling PMP (Project Management Plan). The report will produce a
PMP that covers objective, aim, risk, quality, research methods, deliverables and communication
researches. Moreover, the report will also give findings of project management plan.
Furthermore, the report will also evaluate project life cycle and stages upon research methods
implement for completing business project.

Project life cycle
Project life cycle steps needed for project mangers to manage project from starting to end. In
other words, project life cycle is process by which a team can achieve project success (Uda,
S.A.K.A., and et.al., 2021). Project life cycle has five phases such as initiating, planning,
executing, controlling and closing.
Initiating Phase:
The initiating stage of project life cycle includes two separate processes the stakeholders register,
and project charter. The point of this stage is to identify the vision of the project, document that
will be accomplished and make secure approvals from stakeholders. Here, the key elements of
project charter contain objective, cost estimate, dependencies, project scope, resources needed
and issues and risk. Here, the planner estimate clear vision and thinks to be determined that will
be involved in bringing project to life. So in this phase the planner specify goals and objectives
of the project. It involves creation of statement of work, create business contract and business
case.
Planning phase:
The planning stage is the process group under which planner build project infrastructure that
allow achieving goal within the predetermine budget and time. Starting with PMP, project scope,

Research methods for data collection
Research method refers to the processes, techniques and strategies that are used for the
collection of data for the purpose of analysis to examine new information and also create better,
enhanced and clear understanding of the topic. The research can be conducted by two methods
that are primary methods and secondary methods (Stokes. and Wall., 2017).
Primary research method is a type of research method in which data is collected
personally or directly from the original or authentic source of the information. Data collected
may be qualitative or quantitative. In this methods like interview, focus group, etc. are included.

Risks refer to the uncertain conditions or events that usually have a negative impact on the
objective of the project. The risks present are, limited budget for IT implementations, it is a
controllable risk, hindrance in working of the applied technologies, it is a transferable risk and
risk of competitors copying the techniques of digitalization, it is a risk that needs to be accepted.
Communication resources
Communication resources are basically the resources that support the procedures of supervising
that the messages provided by the project are sent, understood and received by right people. In
this project the communication mainly used are written and visual communications. Written

Half of the participants thinks that the workplace transformation is the is transformation of the
work, technology and the workers. However, 15 participants thinks that the workplace
transformation is limited to the architecture of office. Half of the participates are agreed with the
workplace transformation. So it has been concluded that workplace transformation is important.
75 per cent people think that digitalization is an important factor in a company. This is because
the current technologies supports this also it also helps to cove whole market easily.
More participant thinks that pandemic change lot of things such as at that time offices provide
work from home facilities. But some people also thinks that there is no impact of the pandemic.
It finds that 50 per cent employees of the company are ready to adopt changes and other not. So
people think that technologies changes improve their performances.
From this research I learn many this about the market such as how many people are think
that workplace transformation is important. Along with this I came to know that more than 70
per cent people think that the digitalization is very important factor for an organization. I also
came to know that how people think about the pandemic change lots of thinks. Moreover, many
people think that technological advancement is good for the company so 50 per cent people are
ready to adopt technologies changes. From my point of view adopting technology is very helpful
for the business.

The project life cycle of the project consisted of the steps of initiation of the project,
which provided an overview regarding what the project was aiming at in particular, it basically
provided the aims and the objectives of the project which were the identification and
examination of the requirements and needs of digitalization during the pandemic. Also, the
traditional norms that were used earlier, but are using some of the technological advancements
like online booking of rooms. Rather than that contactless payments and other activities are not
available in these hotels.

75 per cent people think that digitalization is an important factor in a company. This is because
the current technologies supports this also it also helps to cove whole market easily.
More participant thinks that pandemic change lot of things such as at that time offices provide
work from home facilities. But some people also thinks that there is no impact of the pandemic.
It finds that 50 per cent employees of the company are ready to adopt changes and other not. So
people think that technologies changes improve their performances.
From this research I learn many this about the market such as how many people are think
that workplace transformation is important. Along with this I came to know that more than 70
per cent people think that the digitalization is very important factor for an organization. I also
came to know that how people think about the pandemic change lots of thinks. Moreover, many
people think that technological advancement is good for the company so 50 per cent people are
ready to adopt technologies changes. From my point of view adopting technology is very helpful
for the business.

Reflective report
The project life cycle of the project consisted of the steps of initiation of the project,
which provided an overview regarding what the project was aiming at in particular, it basically
provided the aims and the objectives of the project which were the identification and
examination of the requirements and needs of digitalization during the pandemic. Also, the
concept of workplace transformation and implementation of that transformation within the
Premier inn. Next step of the project cycle was planning the steps and the processes through
which these and objectives will be achieved and what resources will be required in doing so.
Next step involves bringing in the resources required which are efficient human resource, experts
and IT equipments and implementing the tasks and activities that were planned. Next step is
monitoring in which feedback from the employees and the customers of the hotel in particular
will be asked for so that any gaps to be filled are visible to the company and the company is able
to take actions according to it and the aspects that are risk oriented for the company are also
analysed in this section. Lastly, closure is done, which means the company concludes all the
activities related to the particular project. The key factors that were used while preparation of the
PMP are the deliverables or the outcomes of the project, the quality, risks involved while
performing the project, communication resources required and the research methods used for
data collection.
The project objectives are achieved successfully because of the demand of the digitalized
technologies required in the present world, the market was interested towards the hotel
digitalizing all its services and specially providing the services regarding the booking of the
rooms online and going totally contactless. This is something that is required by each and
everyone after the pandemic and its major impacts on the society. Also, the employees are
excited about learning new things but some of them are also not really excited about leaving their
traditional habits. I am very impressed by the primary research that I conducted because it
provided a clear overview of what the employees know and want within the hotel.
