The initiating stage of project life cycle includes two separate processes the stakeholders register,
and project charter. The point of this stage is to identify the vision of the project, document that

Research methods for data collection
Research method refers to the processes, techniques and strategies that are used for the
collection of data for the purpose of analysis to examine new information and also create better,
enhanced and clear understanding of the topic. The research can be conducted by two methods
that are primary methods and secondary methods (Stokes. and Wall., 2017).
Primary research method is a type of research method in which data is collected
personally or directly from the original or authentic source of the information. Data collected
may be qualitative or quantitative. In this methods like interview, focus group, etc. are included.
Primary research is more reliable and up to date. It is also more relevant. The data collected can
also be kept confidential. But the data can be biased and the process can be time-consuming and
expensive too (Fallon., 2016).
Secondary research is a research in which data is collected from resources that are not
original, rather it is collected from other relevant sources like, newspapers, internet, etc.
Secondary research can be less reliable as the data passes through different levels but the
collection can be cheaper than the primary collection and even less time-consuming (Martins. da
Cunha. and Serra., 2018).
In this project secondary research is done in accordance to the PMP prepared.

SECTION 4
Reflective report
The project life cycle of the project consisted of the steps of initiation of the project,
which provided an overview regarding what the project was aiming at in particular, it basically
provided the aims and the objectives of the project which were the identification and
examination of the requirements and needs of digitalization during the pandemic. Also, the
Document Page
concept of workplace transformation and implementation of that transformation within the
Premier inn. Next step of the project cycle was planning the steps and the processes through
which these and objectives will be achieved and what resources will be required in doing so.
Next step involves bringing in the resources required which are efficient human resource, experts
and IT equipments and implementing the tasks and activities that were planned. Next step is
monitoring in which feedback from the employees and the customers of the hotel in particular
will be asked for so that any gaps to be filled are visible to the company and the company is able
to take actions according to it and the aspects that are risk oriented for the company are also
analysed in this section. Lastly, closure is done, which means the company concludes all the
activities related to the particular project. The key factors that were used while preparation of the
PMP are the deliverables or the outcomes of the project, the quality, risks involved while
performing the project, communication resources required and the research methods used for
data collection.
The project objectives are achieved successfully because of the demand of the digitalized
technologies required in the present world, the market was interested towards the hotel
digitalizing all its services and specially providing the services regarding the booking of the
rooms online and going totally contactless. This is something that is required by each and
everyone after the pandemic and its major impacts on the society. Also, the employees are
excited about learning new things but some of them are also not really excited about leaving their
traditional habits. I am very impressed by the primary research that I conducted because it
provided a clear overview of what the employees know and want within the hotel.
CONCLUSION
The above report includes project management plan with its aim, objective, scope, risk
etc. the above report also covers project life cycle that is Initiating, planning, executing ,
controlling and closing. The project will also conduct primary research for the project. Along
with this the report will present some meaningful conclusion and recommendation on workplace
transformation and reflective practice on project life cycle.
