INTRODUCTION
Arrangement in activities which can manage them in a proper manner can support to the
organisation manage a business project. Each and every entity is having different projects in the
business rather than business activities so it is essential for them to manage all of the business
activities with business projects (Zimmerman, 2011). Many of the big structured organisations
are using management in the business activities and as well as in their business projects which
supports to them to attain their business objectives and as well as their projects aims also. Most
of the companies are having CSR projects which can help to the company to provide social
benefits to them which are having relation. The present report is based on the CSR activities
which can enhance the values and ethics in the organisation. The present report is based Unicorn
grocery which is a small scale grocery store. They are having an aim to improve health and
safety in the organisation so they are conducting CSR activities in the organisation. This report
is containing aims and objectives of the CSR and management plan to attain these objectives.
After it work break down structure and Gantt chart which can help to the managers to analyse the
activities and progress of the project as per the idol time line. A primary research method can be
helpful for the grocery store to improve their work place as per the needs of the employees. At
the last it is having it is having a review own the research on the basis of the objectives and
learning.
P1 Aims and Objectives of the project of Unicorn Grocery
As the Unicorn grocery is having a target to improve their workplace conditions and
management is having target to provide better healthy and safe working environment for the
employees. So it is essential for them to analyse the needs of the employees in health and safety.
In the first managers and leaders has to make a detailed inspection of the workplace to make a
list of the types of risks which can make an impact on the employees health and safety (Yeoh,
Koronios and Gao, 2008). So it is essential for the managers and leaders to make a clear target
and objectives to give a direction to this project. So they have to manage their CSR activities as
per these aims:
 Increase performance: Management wants to improve working conditions which can
support to the employees to perform more better and as well as it can motivates them to
work more for the organisation.

 Improve employee’s loyalty: Management wants to improve the loyalty and faith of the
people which are working in the organisation, it can help to the managers to enhance the
productivity and improve the workings of the employees which is beneficial for the
organisation and as well as for the employees also.
Objectives of the projects are also given under here;
Better healthy environment for work: managers are having a implication in this project to
provide a healthy working environment to the employees which are working in the organization,
it can help to the organisation to retain their employees in the organisation for the long time
(Stead, Worrell and Stead, 2010). It can reduce number of employees which are working in an
unscheduled way it can help to the company to improve the workings and as well as their
performance of the different teams.
Productivity: This project is having object to increase productivity of the employees working in
the organisation, as they are working on the medium level so it is essential for the Unicorn
Grocery to improve their productivity by providing better services and customer assistance. By
ensuring the employees on health and safety issues company can get more productivity from the
employees and they can increase their performance also.
So these are some objectives and aims of the project and CSR activities by which
company wants to provide better working conditions with proper healthy and safety checks. So
they have to, make a proper plan on these aims and objectives to attain them in the particular
time period which determines the success of the project (O’Sullivan, 2012). So management has
to make a proper analysis of the employees to make better strategy for the development of on
health and safety issues.
P2 Project management plan
It is necessary for the managers and owners of the Unicorn Grocery to make a proper
management plan to implement health and safety guideline in the working conditions. So it is
essential for the managers to make a proper analysis of their subordinates to minimise the risk
regarding to the safety and health issues which can improve the morality and faith of the
employees for the organisation. So they have to make proper plan on which is including different
factors to make an appropriate strategy for the employee’s betterment.
Scope of project: It determines the working scope of the project which can help to the managers
to make their CSR activities on them. As they are having objective to provide better working

environment to employees which is diverse in to the whole organisation. So it is having a broad
scope to work. So they have to make their CSR activities accordingly to attain their objectives
and aims.
Cost of project: It is an essential part for the managers and owners to set the cost of the project,
as they are having target to provide better working environment so they have to make a proper
analysis of the working conditions, after this analysis they have to provide all the basic essential
element which are related to the health and safety needs of the employees (Neu and Brown,
2009). So they have to make a target to invest on this project which can help to the managers to
allocate the resources and budget in to the different sectors. Different factors are here which can
consume the cost analysis of the working environment, health check up of the employees, safety
precautions, minimising risks so these are some element which can consume the finance so they

activities in the 45vdays which enough for the managers and leaders to manage their CSR
activities to attain their project objectives.
Quality required: It is essential for the managers to maintain quality level in to this project so
they have to make a target standard which can be a target for them in the quality standards. As
they are having an object to provide better health and safety working environment so they have
to make a quality standard according to the guidelines of the UK government in health and safety
in the workplace.

P3 Work Break down structure and a Gantt chart
Work break down structure is a supportive tool for the managers which are having a
project, it can help to them to divide their activities in to the parts which can help them to make a
order of the activities (Leymann and Altenhuber, 2014). The work break down structure define
the dependency of the activities on the previous activities to align a sequence of the activities in
to the CSR project so they have to make a proper work break down structure which can help to
them to make a proper alignment of the activities and set the stages of the activities step by step.
According to this project they have to make a proper scheduled activities which can help to the
management and as well as to the employees to attain the health and safety objectives of this
project. As the simply defines the name it clarify the meaning than it break down the work in to
the activities and defines the dependency of the next activity. So a work break down structure is
given under here which can help to the managers to make their CSR activities in this project;

Unicorn Grocery to manage all the activities related to the CSR have to be completed in to the
pre decided time limit, as they are having different types of activities in this project so it is

essential for the managers which are committed to manage all the activities in a proper time
frame. It can help to the managers to allocate time for each and every activity which supports to
the project. Most of the organisation is using Gantt chart to manage all of the activities relating to
a project. A Gantt chart is here for the company Unicorn Grocery to align all the activities in to a

P4 Small scale research by using appropriate methods to meet the aims and objectives
To make an analysis of the employees so it is essential for the managers of the Unicorn
Grocery to use an appropriate method to analyse their employees (Fernandez and Rainey, 2010).
Management is having two options to analyse the employees and their needs on the basis of the
health and safety so they have to make decision on the available options of methods which can
use in to analysis.
Quantitative method: This is a method which is used in to the market analysis and collects data
in numerical from, it can help to a company to make an analysis of the market, competitors and
pricing surveys, so it can be useful in to the financial and marketing sector (Eckerson, 2010).
Most of the organisations are using this method to make an improvement in to their marketing
activities and pricing strategies which can help to a company to manage their sales.
Qualitative method: This method is appropriate in those conditions when a company wants to
make an analysis of the feeling, emotions, needs and demands of a particular group of peoples.
According to this method company can put a survey and questionnaire with the targeted peoples
to analyse their internal views for a particular topic.

Qualitative method can be useful for the company to make a proper analysis of the
employees and as well as to analyse their internal views on the health and safety norms of the
company (Crane and Matten, 2016). According to this method company can make an
questionnaire for the targeted employees to analyse the needs and demands related to the health
and safety issues and needs in the work place. So a questionnaire is here which can be used by
the managers of the Unicorn Grocery which can help full for them to make an quick analysis by

Now it is the responsibility of the managers to analyse the data which they have gain
from the analysis of the employees. As they have make a proper survey of all of the employees
which are working in the organisation so they have to make a proper analysis of the data which is

More than 60% of employees are not feeling safe during the work in the company so it is
essential for the managers to make proper changes which they want in the work place which can
help to the company to increase their faith on the company by providing more better healthy and
safe working environment (Ang and Buttle, 2009). 60% of employees are having safety risk
while working in their work place so managers have to make a proper analysis of the employees
to analyse what types of risk they are facing in to the work place which can make a negative
impact on the employees. Most of the employees have been faced health and safety issues in the
work place which proves that Unicorn Grocery is having a loophole in the sector of health and
safety and they are not providing them proper health and safety precautions as per their
requirements. More than 70% of employees has acknowledged that company’s health and safety
policies are not enough and similar as per the needs of the employees. So now it is a moral duty
of the managers and owners to make changes in their health and safety policies which can ensure
their employees to work with out any type of risk and hesitation. 45% of employees have
accepted that they are having need of more safety gadgets in their work place which can help
them in an accident situation (Ahmed and Capretz, 2007). On the other side 55% of people have
acknowledged that systems which they are using in to the work place have to more secure to
reduce the risk of the health and safety. Many of the employees are working electronic units
which are having risk of electric shock to them to so it is essential for the managers to make sure
that all of the machines and electric equipments are shock proof. 70% of employees have said
that they are having a risk of electric shock during the work so it is essential for the managers to
make a secure work place for the employees.
P6 Recommendations on research and data analysis
It is essential for the managers and leaders of the Unicorn Grocery to make proper
solutions for the employee’s safety and benefits. Most of the workers are not feeling safe during
the work so it is the moral duty of the managers to ensure their employees that they are safe in
the work place. Most of the employees are having a risk of the electric shock in to the work place
while working with electric gadgets and system like; computers, billing machines, weight
machines etc. so they have to provide proper safety in the work place which can help to the
managers to increase the productivity level of the employees. Some of the points are here which

has to be implemented by the managers and the owners of the Unicorn Grocery in to the work
place:
Analysis of the systems: All of the electric systems which employees are using in to the work
place has to be checked by experts which can help to the managers to know what kind of risk can
be occur during the work and as well as it can help to the managers to make changes in to the
equipments.
Proper check of the electric wires: Managers has to test and check of the electric wires and
sockets which can create risk of electric shock in to the work place. So they have to hire an
expert for it which can be help full for the company to make a proper review on the wires and
cables.
Communication with the employees: It is essential for the managers to make a communication
and discussion with the employees to analyse what types of changes they wants in to the health
and safety policies provided by the Unicorn Grocery (Aguilar, 2014). It can help to the company
to make changes according to the employees to ensure their benefits in to the health and safety
policies.
Minimising risks: Company has to change to systems and equipments which can create a risk of
electric shock and as well as they have to make changes in the wirings also. They have to put
MCB to reduce the risks of electric shock and any types of short circuits in the working units.
P7 Reflection on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives and own
learning and performance
It is essential to make proper research on the issues which are faced by the employees in
to their work place, it can help to the company to make secure work place for the employees.
Qualitative data research techniques can be supportive for the company and it is suitable for the
company to analyse the demands and needs of the people working in the Grocery store.
Qualitative method has a potential to generate data from the target audience but it is essential in
it to put a effective questions with the targeted audience which can help to get the exact answer
and information from the targeted audience. As the company has chosen qualitative data research
techniques so it is essential for them to make proper analysis on the data which they have
collected by it. It has huge need of the expertise to analyse data and create a relevant
interpretation. Recommendations are based on the data interpretation and analysis so it is
essential for the managers and concern authority to make a proper analysis which can help to

them to make a proper recommendation. As the Unicorn Grocery store is having an objective to
improve their health and safety potentials in to the work place which can help to the employees
to gain their confidence while working and as well as it can help to the company to retain their
employees to increase their productivity. so all of these recommendations and research can be
helpful for the company to increase the internal working capabilities of employees and as well as
it can support to the company to retain their experienced employees.
CONCLUSION
The above presented report has been concluded about the CSR activities in the Unicorn Grocery
store, this is a CSR project which is having an aim to increase the working environment safety
and health of the employees. A questionnaire can be help full for a company which is having
need to analyse data related to the emotions and needs of a person. CSR activities are essential
for a company to provide benefits for those people which are connected with them. It has an
adverse impact on the organisation in sales and productivity.
