INTRODUCTIONDigitalisation is a innovative process that are adopted by business organisation in order toenhance their working process and productivity. The business environment is dynamic in natureand keeps on changing with time, hence it is necessary to keep in pace with these modifications.Digitalisation is one way to adapt such changes and make the business firm in accordance toneed of environment. Adoption of new and advanced technology helps company to carry outtheir operation effectively and on the other hand aids in minimising the wastage or risk tosignificant level. The firm selected for this project is EE limited which is a British mobileoperating company which was founded in 2010. Its headquarter is located in Hatfield, UK. It is asmall sized system and in order to achieve growth in current market area it is necessary to adaptdigital and modern technology. This project throws light on various aspects like aim andobjective of the project, importance of work breakdown structure and the need to drawmanagement plan in business system. Adoption of this advance system helps in achieving settargets in given time frame. There are number of challenges that are present in competitiveworld, thus to face such state of affairs it is indispensable to work according to changemanagement.TASK 1 P1. Devise project aims and objectivesDigital technology helps every business firm to grow and excel in their field. Due tosmall size of organisation it is very much necessary to choose modern technology with a aim tomake healthy relationship with the clients in market place. Digitalisation makes most of the taskvery easy and carry out in effective and efficient manner(Zott, Amit and Massa, 2011). Thisprocedure is adopted by EE limited to improve their quality of products so that customers remainhappy with their services. Innovation is a process of introducing some new ideas and thoughts inbusiness process to stand apart in their field. There are number of departments in singorganisational system which perform distinctive task related to it. In order to coordinate theiractivities in one direction it is useful to create such innovative process and procedures. Asworking in mobile networking area, it is essential for them to adapt such technology in their
process which helps to develop their system in momentous mode. Business organisation have todevelop some mission and vision on which they have to work in order to accomplish their tasksproperly. Similarly, employees have to align their personal goals with business plans hence, toreach the success path in particular time frame. Topic: Impact on digital technology in supporting small business growth and innovation- a casestudy on EE limited. Background Of Project: This project throws light on importance of adopting digitalisation andadvanced technology on small business organisation. Every business aims to earn huge profitsand goodwill in market area. Hence, through adoption of these concepts and processes assists inachieving final objectives in appropriate mode. In order to maintain their good image among allthe competitors it is useful to do alterations in several departments like sales, finance, humanresource management, accounting and many more. EE limited have to perform environmentscanning before introducing something in organisational system. This helps in finding out certainfactors that directly influence the management system. Research aimTo investigate influence and outcomes on the growth of EE Limited. Research Objectives: There are number of objectives of EE Limited that is discussed below: To Examine usage and effect of advanced technology in EE Limited.To gain high returns and productiveness by introducing new and advanced technology inbusiness system. To find out that this technology will aid in company system for longer period of time. Research questions- The research questions are drafted on the basis of objectives andaims in which are mentioned below: How can business system can optimally use digital technology and what will be itspositive effects? How organisational system can obtain high financial gains through execution of moderntechnology?Does advancement of technology contribute in success and growth of particularcompany?
P2. Produce a project management plan In order to develop some projects in company structure, there is need to execute certainbusiness plans that have to be formulated by senior managers. Management plans providedirection to reach the final stage and make it clear in minds of employees about the workingprocess (Cavusgil, 2014). On the hand, focus is also made on implementation of draft plans andmonitoring it so that execution process will be carried out according to policy and procedures ofthe company. It is the responsibility of managers to look after the creation of policy that have tobe enforced in organisational culture. The several determinants are mentioned below:Cost: It is a very important component that has to be controlled so that it can be managedin proper way. It should be the aim of organisation to adopt cost effective techniques andminimize wastage at significant level. Cost is a important factor that has to be taken intoconsideration by finance department of every business organisation. Employees have to betrained in such a style so that they work in expeditious manner to reduce cost and increase output(Teece, 2010).Time: This factor helps in completing the tasks in proper time frame. EE Limited have tomanage all those activities that have to completed in given time period. The time wastage has tobe reduced so that it does not get included in extra cost of the company. Work division processcan be enforced in which work is divided at various level so that it can be performed easily andsmoothly. Quality: Customers always get attracted toward quality products hence, quality should behigh and unique. Digitalisation process makes this task very effortless and assists organisation toimplement such means and techniques that make the process easy and suitable. EE Limited haveto put their efforts for continuous improvements in their quality of products or services. Hence,this help them to gain competitive advantage. Communication: Effective communication system, helps to establish healthyrelationship with employees and management. There can be number of cases of conflicts orbarriers that can be resolved through proper implementation of communication system. In orderto achieve this aspect, proper actions are implemented in proper system. Employees andmanagement level have to be connected in proper system(Stokes, Wilson, and Wilson, 2010). Resources: There are various types of resources of different nature and types that has tobe utilized in effectual and expeditious way. Digitalisation process aids, EE Limited to employ
various resources or materials in proper mode so that wastage should not be rendered and doesnot get included in losses of the company(Dezdar, and Ainin, 2011)Scope: Project management plan have broader scope that has to be performed in EELimited so that operations can be carried out in accordance to digitalisation. P3. Produce a Work breakdown structure and Gantt Chart to provide time frames and stages forcompletion Work breakdown structure(WBS) is a process of dividing the total work into smalleramount in organisational system. There is a line of command constituted in every business firmthat specifies roles and responsibilities of employees and management level. It specifies clearsystem between employees and managers. The major aim of work down structure is to bringdown the total working into smaller amount of work process. So that particular person does notbear whole burden of work. There is superior level who delegates work to their subordinates inorder to remove the load of excess work. There are different level of work having some attachedfunctions and roles. This has to be known in advance by the management. The most superiormangers keep the work under control that how much amount of work is being transferred andtake care whether it is done in correct way or not (Peppard,and Ward, 2016). EE Limited have proper system to reduce the burden of work and helps in sharing it withnumber of workers present in business firm. Firstly, they have to study the level of skills andknowledge of each employee in business organisation and the capabilities that they possess. Thetask is divided in accordance to knowledge and skill level (Eid, and El-Gohary, 2013). There aremajorly three level of management that consists of different type of people having distinct dutyand obligations. Gantt Chart is a representation of information or data in graphical form. It helps to drawconclusion regarding time in which particular activity will be finished. It also helps in finding outthe area that need proper attention to eliminate wastage or risk. There are certain activities thatleads to formation of certain strategy or policy that have to be properly implemented in particulartime period. Is the the duty of management to carry out the work process according to needs andwants of customers. This graph basically show the schedule of activity that has to be carried outin particular time period. It is divided into certain stages that have particular function to play.
