This document provides an overview of marketing automation and focuses on Hootsuite, a social media management platform. Background of Hootsuite
Hootsuite is a platform that is considered to be a social media management
application. The platform is used for managing various social media application that an
person or any kind of organization is using for. The platform allows a user to get in access of
the various kind of social media accounts that they are using all together (Kelsey, 2017). The
platform have been outsourcing to several of the social media platform and making them
available under one roof. The organization could be useful for many organizations. In the era
of digitalization, there have been upgrades in the process of business conduction and
moreover there have been upgrade in the pattern of advertisement. Organizations uses
different social media platforms for influencing the market. They also uses them for reaching
as many as possible clients (Hadi, MacGregor & Mann, 2017). Advertisement have also been
easy after the commence of these various social media accounts in the internet. Thus,
Hootsuite have been helping in taking all the social media account and bringing them under
one roof. Many public influencers could also use Hootsuite for accessing their various social
media accounts. The platform would be helpful by helping the getting in touch with the entire
social media platform and by excluding the effort of accessing different accounts at a time.
The platform have various plans for their customers based in their needs. These plans depend
on the number of social media platforms the user would be using.
Using the tool after account have been made
After the user have selected their monthly plan and created their account at the
Hootsuite application, they now are entitled to link the selected number of social media
accounts they have paid at the application (New, 2016). Thus, the user links the various social
media platform they want to link with their hootsuite account.

Which social media platforms are compatible in Hootsuite?
Basically, there could be use of those kind of social media accounts that they are
entitled for being used to influence or to connect with people. Social media accounts like
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest are compatible with
Hootsuite (Chaney, et al., 2015). There are also other high-end social media application that
could linked with the application.
Explain, in your own words, what ‘tabs’ are in the Hootsuite dashboard.
There are various kind of tabs on the dashboard of the application Hootsuite.
These tabs and option helps the user in making various changes at the account of the
users. The home tab helps is orienting and arranging the various kinds of streams and
networks that they want (Restrepo, 2016). Then there are message tab, statistic tab,
check tab, profile and setting tab at the dashboard.
Explain, in your own words, what ‘streams’ are in the Hootsuite dashboard.
The stream option in the dashboard helps the user in monitoring the various kind of
contents is being shared or putting in the various social media platforms by the users. The
stream option help in getting in access of all the old and new contents that the user wants
have shared or want to share with the followers and clients they have linked with their
Hootsuite account. The stream option helps the user in getting in touch with all other kind of
content that they want to share with their followers and want their followers to see. From the
stream option, the users would also be able to delete and keep any of the content they at their
social media accounts (Hope, 2015). It also helps to control the various kinds of element that
is generated from the various kind of social media platforms.

Why is YouTube only available as an Application (rather than a stream option) in the
Hootsuite dashboard?
YouTube have its own stream in the application itself. Thus, while linking the
YouTube account with the application, the user do get the ability to manage their YouTube
videos that they have been uploading in the application. Thus, there is no streams generated
by the YouTube application when the user links the YouTube with Hoousuite.
Under the ‘Publisher’ tab in the Hootsuite dashboard – what 3 features would you
recommend your client use and why? Provide an example for each one.
On the publisher accounts, several options could be helpful for users. For users, the
best option that they could use would be – suggestion, schedule and Approval. These three
options would be helpful for the user as with these contents, they would be able to access
what they want to see, arranging the works and approving any vital info they want.
