PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION IN DIGITAL WORLD2 Introduction: Reflection can be defined as the process of describing the experiences and learning of the life with the help of written document. Reflections are based on the attitudes and behaviors of the persons. This indicates that the content of the reflective reports differs from each other but all are based on some practical incidents and happenings. For this purpose, a reflective report has been developed describing my personal experience of working within a team having 5 team members including me. This report describes the issues and advantages that we had to face while making a group presentation. This report has been prepared on the basis of five key stages from Jenny Moon’s levels of learning(Everett, 2013). Noticing: Our group was formed for the preparation of a presentation based on market analysis and market mix. We were five members of our group and all of us were from different cultural backgrounds and communities. This diversity resulted in creating the ethical differences related to the communication gap, sense of responsibility and many more. Because of these differences, one or two of our team members did not perform well and during the initial 2-3 days. The two team members did not present on the very first day of our meeting with our tutor as they were busy with their personal jobs and engagements. The topic of Marketing Strategy and Market Mix is very vast and it could not be covered in one presentation so it was required to discuss with the other members and tutor. After the discussion and understanding the presentation from the tutor, all three of us started working without informing and consulting with the two members who were not presented and this made them destructive and aggressive (Stefano, et al., 2015). Making Sense: There was no proper communication among all the team members because of the initial acts ofthose two members. They could not communicate with the rest of the three members and could not discuss the planning of the presentation. One of those two members was more knowledgeable about the marketing strategies as his father was the marketing manager in a well-known cloth industry. Our team was not getting the benefit of his knowledge because of the communication gap.
PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION IN DIGITAL WORLD3 We decided to hold our second meeting during our week off from the college. I took charge for the purpose of communicating everyone about the venue and timing. This time, we all were worried regarding our presentation and all reached there on time. The two members which were not presented previously also said sorry for not cooperating at initial stages. This sense of feeling sorry made us easy to communicate with each other. This time, we divided our work into five main parts and shared our view on each and every part so that all requirements of the assignment can be fulfilled in an effective manner. We communicated with each other with the help of a supportive approach or communication which made us feel comfortable by the presence of each other(Toros & Medar, 2015). Making Meaning: At the time of our third meeting, we were almost known to each other’s capabilities and knowledge. We met third time with the completion of our partial work. We analyzed the work of each other and suggested the required changes so that there could be uniformity in all parts of the report. Although one of our team members got angry when I told him to change some content of the presentation. But when I explained to him the reason behind the same, then he understood and agreed to change the matter. One other team member told that he was going out of town for the purpose of some urgent work and would not be able to complete the remaining work and additional changes in the work done by him. This was a difficult situation because specific works were distributed to all team members as per the capabilities and knowledge. It was not easy to complete the task of each other because of the lack of expert knowledge and time. But then, one of the female members of our group agreed to complete the reaming task of the member who was going out of the city. Although she must be needed help from the rest of the members this decision make us feel very relaxed. At this time, I got to know one of the main requirements for becoming a good team member that is the help and sharing the work of each other in any kind of urgency or need(Moon, 2012). Working with Meaning: The fourth meeting was the last and final meeting of our group. The four members of our group met and combined our work to complete the presentation. All the members have completed their tasks very efficiently within the provided deadline. Our presentation was covering all the requirements and was easy to understand by the audience. We started practicing speaking for the purpose of presenting our work in the meeting. Two of us were

Transformative Learning: My first experience of working in a group was not as bad as I got to know the real meaning of working in a group. I got to know that a team can perform in the best way if all of its members are willing to work and to perform better. In the case of my group, we all were willing to give our best but the level of such willingness was not equal as at the end, one of our team members did not complete his work that might have created a big problem for all of us. I learned that a person needs to be adaptive and transformative as per the requirement of working conditions at the time of working in a group referred to in Appendix 1. Conclusion: On the basis of the above report, it can be concluded that reflective reports critically analyze the events and happenings of someone's life. It gives an opportunity to find out the ability to analyze the past situation and to adopt some learnings from the experiences. The above report reflects the characters of our team members including me. Our presentation was good and it was liked by everyone. This group presentation provides us to understand the advantages, features, and disadvantages of working in a group which helped us during our next team works
