CLIENT PROFILE
Client is a customer service staff at a retail store and this requires client to stand
up most of the time and also requires to keep walking around. Along with this
client is also required to do arrange shelves at store, this is why client also has
manual work. Stress level of client is medium but because of multiple work client
cannot find time to focus on fitness and maintain healthy lifestyle. The client
does not have any health related issues and occasionally client also gets
involved in recreational activities such as cycling. Client do not take any
medication.
TREATMENT PLAN
Client will receive a massage on back and front legs and on back and in supine
position. Client has asked to apply medium pressure on back and medium-high
pressure on posterior leg and medium pressure on anterior leg.
TREATMENT 1
LEFT AND RIGHT POSTERIOR LEG
A left and right posterior leg massage is focused at gastrocnemius, soleus and
plantaris muscles that are located in lower half of the leg. Massage given to
client was done in order to relieve tightness in muscles. This also relieves muscle
tightness, tension and pain. During massage client was in supine position and
massage was started with skin rolling in which skin was picked up and rolled and
this was done to relieve skin tightness. Starting with skin rolling oil was dispersed
on leg and followed by this Effleurage was done with a pressure that was
acceptable to client. Followed by this, focus was placed on hamstrings and did
Effleurage. Once done with effleurage palmer kneading was done on hamstrings
and also on lower part of legs. Kneading was done firstly in flat motion which was
starting from hamstrings to coming towards lower part of legs. Once flat then
kneading was done in circular motion. Once kneading was done, massage
included thumb glide on posterior legs. After thumb glide massage was ended
with hacking with a medium pressure on leg. This treatment was exactly
repeated with right leg posterior leg.
