Mental Health is referred to a situation in which a person can be considered as
psychologically and emotionally well-being. Project describe how social determinants of mental
health impact on these peoples or community of groups and also identifying some key factors
that impact on manifest for the population. It also provides some recommendations that should
implement to enhance services.
MAIN BODY
Mental disorder is a behavioural imbalance in human nature that sometimes leads to
some serious problem. According to World Health Organization, mental health is that state of
well being in which individual have their own quality so that they can work productivity so that
they are able to contribute to their society. Gómez‐Coronado and et.al., (2018). In Australia,
indigenous group of people are also suffering from mental health disorders because of numerous
social, economic and physical determinants present in the external environment. As per many
surveys, it has been critically evaluated that mental health of indigenous community is not as
strong as required because as they are suffering from health issues which leads to death.
This social factor creates negative impact among them and creates worse mental health.
Another social determinant which are face by aboriginals community is lack of education and
discrimination. As these groups are backward classes in Australia and even government have
failed to provide same rights and basically they are discriminated by other group of people
Parletta et.al., (2018). There is no source of income and due to lack of education, these groups
does not contribute towards an economy of Australia as significantly as remaining population in
the country. Because of low socio- economic status they lead to much mental health disease
such as depression, social anxiety disorder etc. The same is happening with group of indigenous
people.
Indigenous people are those group of numbers who first peoples, aboriginal peoples or
native peoples, these all kinds of people or native peoples, that settled, occupied or colonized the
area more recently. These people maintained the old culture which is associated with a given
region. Social factors affect the mental status of the indigenous cultures which is distinct from
other regions. Due to lack of social determinate factor they lacking behind from the today's' level
of performance. Just like with other normal persons they also have their distinct culture or

national legislation as having a some set of their own historical ties to particular territory and
their culture. They vulnerable people who are being exploited from different ways. They do not
know about education system, employment, or lack of social support from people. This gives
negative impact on the behaviour of them. For them US declare the policies and culture for the
rights of indigenous people such as employment, health, education and natural resources. On the
contrary, Even mental illness is the third largest leading cause and burden in Australia and more
than 20 percent people lost their lives because of mental disorder and many of them are still
affected.
Another most important social determinant which indigenous group faces is race
difference that are mostly influenced by cultural backgrounds. This is also leads to mental issues
or illness. Hence, it has been showed that the condition of indigenous group are not as strong and
still there are so many mental disorders related to unemployment and not paid equal wages and
discriminate in various working environment that leads community in Australia to face many
mental issues. However, many developmental and social factors basically contribute to
depression among adolescence. Therefore, metal disorder is increases about 3 percent in every
year that must be minimized.
Indigenous group which are also suffered from mental health issues and the social
determinant that affect those community is lack of education and low income source Roberts,
Black, & Hart, (2018). Moreover, there are many factors that lack rural community such that
people live in these areas are not active enough in order to identifies their own strength and
weakness so that creates negative impact upon them and as a result many of them suffer from
depression that may sometimes leads to death also. Indigenous group of people also have lack of
alternatives that support mental health because these areas are not as much developed as urban
area are. Therefore, it is not possible to provide facilities for government of Australia. Further,
groups are also lack of many opportunities such as education, problem related to income, lack of
infrastructure etc. These necessities also raise chances of mental disorder among those groups
According to indigenous people they stated that, they are living with the saints of
evergreen tress. They have no big homes or proper shelter facilities. This is the social factor that

indigenous people or non- indigenous Australians. Indigenous people also not having proper
facilities of schools, education, income inequality, work and school conditions etc.
Social determinants can also explain a large part of the differences in health status.
Besides, Indigenous Australians are in the position of the lowest income group factors. In 2013
babies of indigenous people, this affect the overall positioning level of income group of people.
This gives negative affect to the people who does not have that much of resources to be used.
On the contrary, lack of social support factor gives mental stress as well as physical.
Employment opportunity can be considered as an another factor that affect the population
of indigenous people. Besides, after facing much time, Australian started work upon it and start
created employment opportunity for those people. For that, they also start giving education to
children or to adults as well. On the contrary, with no jobs or education, indigenous people could
not get the job so easily due to their lack of knowledge and skill to perform a particular task. The
lack of employment of such people directly relates to lower income. It is the another factor that
affect the living conditions of indigenous population. Due to which they get effect more specific
manner. Country start taking action plan for them to motivate towards welfare to work.
In Australia, the death ratio have raised because of mental disorder among people. Many
women and teenagers commit suicide because of many social factors such as discrimination,
unemployment etc. Indigenous group of people are suffer from mental issues because they are
not provide enough facilities which help them to lead a better life. Therefore, there is a need to
facilitate them from many things which helps them to grew themselves which further helps them
to explore there life in many ways. So, there is a need to control this issues and government must
take some initiatives in order to overcome mental issues such as depression because it is one of
the common disease which lead to death and there is no control of man and a state come where
men start becoming mentally imbalance.
From the above discussion on the mental stress on indigenous people has been increasing
due to some social determinants. This requires sustaining the best possible action plan that define
long term factors. Country or government needs to fill the gap between indigenous people or
non-indigenous people. Besides, government also needs to focus on their hygiene factor or make
sure to remove all dirts or unhygienic. Through it helps to reduce illness or different disorders.
On the other hand, also mention or obtains some schools or institution for making students

educated etc. Also, communities needs to focus on human social welfare in order to assure
employment opportunity and growth. This possibilities helps to reduce social mental health
problems or also helps to increase human services.
It has been analysed that mental health problems are the third biggest health issues in
Australia so it is quite necessary to reduce the ratio of mental illness which can be done through,
promotion of mental health in human services and it refers to positive health that must be
consider as a resource which value as a basic human right.
Government of Australia conduct some campaigns that leads a message of promotion of
mental health. For example, people such as indigenous group, they should provide proper health
care environment and even should not discriminate as per their race or colour. Quinn, et.al.,
(2018). For indigenous group of people special programs must be organized where specialist
provide their views in order to overcome from mental illness. Further, government must provide
or create a safe and healthy workplace and identifies possible workplace practices and take
proper action in order to eliminate or minimize those risk. There is need to developing some
strategies related to mental illness because it helps to improve productivity and if Australia has
its diverse society and workplace it will definitely contributes towards a economy of a country.
WHO also contribute its part towards minimizing a mental care of indigenous group
people such that they start a program in order to support and strengthen their family and even
encourage them to explore their abilities. This helps to prevent or diagnose disorder and tries to
reduce the impact of those ill effect from a human body Cullen et.al., (2018). Equal rights should
be provided in order to reduce health issues among women and children and there should not be
any discrimination related to age and gender. Then it will help to minimize mental imbalances
among them. Cost of medication should be reduced so that every group of people can afford and
they will also lead a successful life.
CONCLUSION
By summing up above report it has been concluded that mental health creates a wide
impact among many groups such as indigenous, women and children. As Australia is third
biggest country which faces most of the mental issues and these sometimes may lead to death
also. Report also concluded that different groups of peoples faces various problems related to
mental imbalances and indigenous people faces race discrimination so government also take
